International Crisis Group

George Soros Behind Groups Seeking Hard-line Islamic States
Surprise, surprise. George Soros is behind radical Islamists gaining political power in the Middle East and North Africa. George Soros’ International Crisis Group, is not even trying to hide its agenda. The group is openly calling for groups linked to al-Qaida to take part in the political process in Algeria, and the NWO puppet master has also directed his puppets to openly support the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.

Rolling Stone aids and abets the enemy....again

Rolling Stone magazine apparently enjoys writing hit pieces to damage the American military.

First there was Michael Hastings. He took down General McChrystal. He violated the journalistic principle of "off the record" to get any dirt he could. Of course, General McChrystal was stupid enough to grant him access and trusted him to write an objective story. And stupid enough to talk freely where Rolling Stone's reporters were present. Hey, General! Its freaking Rolling Stone Magazine, what did you expect?

This idiot actually, then, tried to embed with an Army unit in Afghanistan. The Army said, "Um..., NO."

However, Hastings continued his hit pieces with an idiotic story on supposed psy-ops being conducted against American politicians that were visiting Afghanistan to manipulate them in supporting more spending. His only source was a disgruntled officer that had been reprimanded by the CO of that command. Those familiar with the Army and "psy-ops" called BS on the story and disproved it in detail. Shocking, isn't it, that the story was fiction......

Now, Rolling Stone is again attempting to smear the US military. Another jackass is writing about the soldiers that allegedly committed murder. THOSE soldiers were apparently stupid enough to pose with their victims. Writing about such crimes is a valid enterprise. Unfortunately, Rolling Stone, and more specifically Mark Boal, who produced the movie Hurt Locker, has decided to juxtapose actual proper combat procedure and the crimes. Boal, whose only exposure to the military has been the movie business, intermixes crime reporting with operations that took place elsewhere, in an effort to smear our soldiers and create a bigger story. And that story has been picked up internationally.

Michael Yon, a preeminent war reporter, had been embedded with the the unit involved. He's calling BULLSH#T! on the the entire story. He points outs one example.

The online edition of the Rolling Stone story contains a section with a video called “Motorcycle Kill,” which includes our Soldiers gunning down Taliban who were speeding on a motorcycle toward our guys. These Soldiers were also with 5/2 SBCT, far away from the “Kill Team” later accused of the murders. Rolling Stone commits a literary “crime” by deceptively entwining this normal combat video with the Kill Team story. The Taliban on the motorcycle were killed during an intense operation in the Arghandab near Kandahar City. People who have been to the Arghandab realize the extreme danger there. The Soviets got beaten horribly in the Arghandab, despite throwing everything including the Soviet kitchen sink into the battle that lasted over a month. Others fared little better. To my knowledge, 5/2 and supporting units were the first ever to take Arghandab, and these two dead Taliban were part of that process.
Michael Totten has some suggestions on how to pay Rolling Stone back for their "support" of the troops. (Emphasis mine.)

I’ve found in the past that boycotts work. I led a boycott against one magazine and it went bankrupt. It’s doubtful that Rolling Stone will go bankrupt for its sins, but you can cost them money not by boycotting their magazine, but by boycotting their advertisers. That hurts. Just pick an advertiser whose products you already buy, boycott it, and tell the advertiser why you are not buying their product.
Support our troops. Boycott those that advertise in Rolling Stone.

Organized Left Plan Massive Protests for April 4th

Organized Left Plan Massive Protests for April 4th

Here they come
Marching down the street
They get the funniest looks from
Everyone they meet.

Hey hey they're the commies
and The Man aint gonna put dem down
hey hey they're the commies
and they're coming to your town

Scott Marshall, Vice Chair of The Communist Party USA said his organization is working with the likes of MoveOn.org, the SEIU, the AFL-CIO and others to make April 4th, the anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., a national day of action.

“Support is beginning to grow,” said Marshall in an online meeting earlier this month. “A bunch of organizations already are hyping the idea of massive demonstrations on April 4th.”

The Community Party in particular has benefited from the recent debate over Wisconsin government employee unions’ power to collectively bargain, using the opportunity to build their ranks.

“In this struggle, the question of building the Left and building the Party has to come to the fore,” Marshall said. “Recruiting has picked up, more people are joining the Party and the broader left is getting bigger.”

The Communist Party USA leader said his members cannot just participate alongside other organizations, however. They must continue to join and help lead them.

All the usual suspects.

EPA Is Now Using Taxpayer Dollars to Pay Lung Association to Attack Republicans

EPA Is Now Using Taxpayer Dollars to Pay Lung Association to Attack Republicans

JunkScience.com reported:

“The American Lung Association has targeted House Energy and Commerce Chairman Fred Upton for his efforts to stop U.S. EPA from regulating greenhouse gas emissions by placing billboards within sight of his district offices linking climate change with increased childhood asthma,” reports E&E News PM.

But as we reported last week in “EPA owns the American Lung Association,” the EPA has paid the American Lung Association over $20 million in the last ten years, and has paid the ALA many more millions in a symbiotic relationship going back to at least 1990.

Republicans Shouldn't Take Tea Party for Granted

Republicans Shouldn't Take Tea Party for Granted
“What is it about the November election that Republican leadership doesn’t understand?” That is the first question I ask any Republican elected official who works in Washington. Each response from the numerous conservative Congressmen has been some variation of “they just don’t get it.” The Congressman who I met with said basically what I already knew, “House leadership has no plan to cut spending, repeal ObamaCare and is not conservative.”

Beyond that, the Congressman reported that he’s even heard Speaker Boehner speak derogatorily of the tea party behind closed doors. I’m not surprised. I have often said the Republican elite would like to see the tea party movement go away much more than the Democrats. I spoke last month with another Texas conservative Congressman who reported that Boehner has surrounded himself with “yes” men who are not conservatives and, if they once were, have sold their souls for leadership positions. Do you hear me Jeb Hensarling?

Unions or Mobsters?

Because based on this article, I'd say mobsters. As a citizen of this Nation, you have the right to pursue any career you feel you are qualified for. You do not have a "right" to a job. You have the freedom to obtain one. You do have the right to be free from undue pressure to join any organization, no matter how benevolent (or malevolent) they may seem. Unions are the bullies of the workplace, especially in the service industry and government employees and from the tactics described in this article, they are borderline psychotic.

NLRB rejects Hyatt’s request for unionization election as labor union pressures employees
It’s rare for a company with workers targeted by Big Labor for unionization to ask the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) for a unionization election. That initiative is usually taken by the unions themselves.
But that’s exactly what hotel chain Hyatt did at four of its locations after Unite Here organizers allegedly badgered its workers by showing up at their houses and following them to places like supermarkets in order to pressure them to unionize. Unite Here is a labor union that represents various service industry workers, including workers employed at hotels, airports, food service providers and casinos. Unite Here doesn’t want to hold secret-ballot elections, though, despite leading numerous activities Hyatt contends are tantamount to organizing efforts.

2011 Milblog Conference Update:
Mark Wills to perform at opening reception
Tuesday, March 22, 2011, 03:22 PM -
2011 Milblog Conference
Entertainment for the opening reception and benefit of the 2011 Milblog Conference has been announced. Country music artist Mark Wills will perform live on Friday, April 29th.

Via the Milblog Conference website:
Country music artist and well-known troop supporter Mark Wills will be performing at the Opening Reception and Benefit for USA Cares on Friday, April 29th. We’re honored that Mark would take time out of his busy schedule to perform. Mark’s tireless support of the military community makes him a perfect fit for the MilBlog Conference:

A country artist best known for hit singles like “19 Somethin” and “Jacob’s Ladder” Mark also has been a long time supporter of the troops, having visited them almost every year that we have been in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2004. Mark just released his new album, “2nd Time Around” with some of the proceeds going to support USA Cares.Mark joined USA Cares in December 2008.

Mark Wills has traveled to both Iraq and Afghanistan in addition to appearing at installations and visiting military hospitals around the world as a means of showing his admiration for our servicemen and women. This was reflected when he recorded one of his #1 hit singles “Don’t Laugh At Me” in front of the troops in Balad, Iraq in September of 2008 when he toured with the USO and the Sergeant Major of the Army.

After learning about USA Cares, Mark added his voice and talent to both tell our story but to also help raise funds, especially for those who suffer from Post Traumatic Syndrome Disorder (PTSD) through the USA Cares program Warrior Treatment Today. During a recent appearance on The Dennis Miller Radio Show, Mark reflected that when his dad returned from Vietnam, the whole family saw a change that they now know was very likely to be PTSD, and he wants to help those nearly 330,000 (By a recent Rand Study) who are afflicted with this invisible disease.

To that end, when he released his new album “2nd Time Around” a remake of many of his hit singles and with a new look, including the song recorded in Iraq, he has pledged that part of the proceeds go to USA Cares, and included an insert not only thanking the fans, but asking them to contribute thorugh USA Cares mobile giving program.Visit the Milblog Conference website, for lots more information on Mark Wills and the Opening Reception and Benefit for USA Cares taking place on Friday, April 29th.

We'll Fight Them In the Desert; We'll Fight Them In the Valleys

We'll fight them until we're tired and then we'll take our cruise missles and go home.

Editorial Exegesis
Obama's goal in Libya: Stalemate
"The expectation of the world's lone superpower in a major military operation is 'stalemate.' Welcome to the era of the Obama 'smart war.' Joint Chiefs Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen has been warning that he is unclear of the 'endgame,' as the Daily Telegraph describes it, in Libya. The outcome of Operation Odyssey Dawn is 'very uncertain' and could end up as a stalemate that keeps Col. Moammar Gadhafi in power. Appearing Sunday on NBC's 'Meet the Press,' Mullen said U.S. force will mean that Gadhafi is 'going to have to make some choices about his own future.' Sounds like we're sending Dr. Phil over to Tripoli to give the longtime tyrant some tough love. ... The president says our military operations were 'authorized' by the U.N. Security Council and the Arab League. He didn't give the U.S. Congress -- the Constitution's authorizers -- even one of those bows he likes to perform in the presence of foreign gentry. Is one of the purposes of Operation Odyssey Dawn to illustrate the New Multilateralism -- i.e., a Change-We-Can-Believe-In U.S. foreign policy in which we never shoot until the U.N. Security Council gives permission? ... Libya seems to be 'a war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics,' as Obama said of Iraq. We've seen that passion on the covers of tabloid newspapers with Navy-released photos of Tomahawk cruise missiles and headlines like 'Take That!' As for the politics, it certainly would be convenient for the president to be able play the hawk as the 2012 election approaches."

Charles "Chuckie" Schumer on Gun Control

‘Common sense’ gun-control debate lasts less time than it takes to reload a 9mm --

It didn’t take long after the Tucson shootings for New York Sen. Chuck Schumer to propose sweeping new gun-control legislation. It’s supposed to “strengthen” background checks, but as The Daily Caller reports, it'll more likely piss off anyone who’s never actually been found guilty in a court of law. “The Fix Gun Checks Act of 2011 would greatly expand the definition of those legally prohibited from owning firearms to include anyone who’s ever been arrested — even if never convicted or found guilty — for drug possession within a five-year period.” Alleged gunman Jared Lee Loughner admitted to smoking weed. According to Schumer’s “rational gun-control,” ergo, that means anyone arrested for doing drugs, for that bong that wasn’t actually yours or for Tweeting that you were going to get “ripped” tonight, is tantamount to planning a psychotic bloodbath. Everyone agrees that only "law-abiding" citizens should have guns, but who would have thought Schumer would try to change the definition of “law-abiding.”

Health Care Bill vs Health Care Law

Understanding of Health Care Law same as when it was a Health Care Bill --
USA Today reports what everybody already knew about the year-old health care law: not a damn thing. “Although opinions are plentiful about the requirement that most Americans buy health insurance and about the costs of expanding Medicaid — both provisions that take effect in 2014 — apparently few people know about provisions that are already in place, unless those provisions have directly affected them. And that seems to play a big role in public opinion.” Thank goodness for The Daily Caller’s Jonathan Strong and Matthew Boyle. Get a breakdown of the provisions already in place from Boyle. For a long-term prognosis, read Strong’s wrap-up of the Shermanesque march toward the impending legal battles. The piece includes the most frightening phrase in the English language: “Armies of lawyers.”

Who Comes Up With These Names?

We were sitting in a resturant in DC Saturday afternoon when we got the news about coalition forces launching airstrikes against Libyan forces loyal to Kuhdaffy. The chiron at the bottom of the screen said that "Operation Odyssey Dawn" has commenced and the hammer was down. (Not The Hammer. She's never down, unles its called for and then she's down for most anything Uncle J and I can dream up)

I turned to my trusted source for all things military, Uncle Jimbo, and asked who the heck comes up with the names for thes missions. He didn't know.

Well, apparently, there were several mission names that didn't make the first round. Patriot Post has found the notes in a trash bin outside of the Wilmington Delaware AMTRAK station where Joe "Plugs" Biteme must have dropped them during a visit to "his" AMTRAK station.

In no particular order of importance, we humbly present them for your edification:

The White House tossed out a number of perfectly good names before arriving at "Operation Odyssey Dawn":

Maestro, drum roll if you please:

Top 10 Rejected Obama Mission Names
10.Operation Nine Months In The Senate Didn't Prepare Me For This
9. Operation Organizing for Libya
8. Operation Double Standard
7. Operation FINE! I'll Do Something
6. Operation Enduring Narcissism
5. Operation So That's What the Red Button Does
4. Operation France Backed Me Into A Corner
3. Operation Start Without Me
2. Operation Unlike Bush Wars This One Is Justified Because Hey Look A Squirrel
1. Operation Aimless Fury

There's just no pleasing some people.

Cutting Oil Deals That Won't Help Americans

Speaker Boehner Challenges President Obama on Support for New Energy Production – In Brazil

March 21, 2011 by Don Seymour

In an interview with RedCounty.com, Speaker Boehner called it “breathtaking” that the Obama Administration would back more job-creating energy production in Brazil while continuing to threaten job growth and drive up gas prices at home by blocking new American energy production.

You see, instead of lifting the de facto moratorium on American offshore energy production, the House Natural Resources Committee caught President Obama promising “to help with technology and support to develop” Brazilian oil reserves so that America could become one of Brazil’s “best customers.”

The new House majority is taking a different approach. With rising gas prices causing “big pains” at the pump for American families and small businesses, and American energy production in decline, Speaker Boehner said, “Americans are wondering, ‘well why aren’t we developing our own resources?’”

That’s why House Republicans recently launched the American Energy Initiative -- an ongoing effort to help address rising gas prices and create jobs by increasing American energy production. Here is how Speaker Boehner explained the initiative to Red County:

“One, it’s our all-of-the-above energy policy. Let’s have more oil and gas exploration, let’s use most of the royalties to help develop alternative sources of energy, but it’s clean coal technology, it’s nuclear energy. In addition to that, let’s look at what the Administration is doing that’s stopping the development of our natural resources. And if you look at the EPA, you look at the rest of these government agencies, they’re doing everything they can to put a moratorium in the Gulf, to make sure that we can’t drill in Alaska, to make sure there’s no development in the intermountain west. There are policies coming out of this Administration that are causing the price of energy to skyrocket. We need to expose this and hold them accountable for what they’re doing.”

Meanwhile, we're bombing another Muslim country and have no clue who will be in charge when we're done.

Hate America Weekend-The Wrap

I may have more to say about the Charlie Foxtrot that was Joplin Road and US Rt 1 on Sunday. I saw millions in state tax dollars being wasted on a bunch of losers with a megaphone exercising their right to be stupid in public. There were 5 seperate LEA's on site today: VA State Police; Prince William County Police; Park Service Police (Mounted); Marine Corps MP's; and what I can only assume were DHS agents. I would never have allowed those clowns to pull the stunt they pulled by closing down a primary North-South corridor.

Uncle Jimbo and mystery reporter Athena Vitamin embed with the loonies at Quantico and, as usual, the result is a hard look at the geniuses behind free bradley manning. Just remember folks, these people are living and working amongst you and they vote. (Often)

In case you missed the first two installments of this weekend's festivities, here are some links so you can get caught up:

Day 1
As an aside to the Day 1 link, we now have a video up that has three years worth of Friday nights at Walter Reed. Good music and lots of Patriots.

Day 2
Did you know we have a chemical substance that will reduce 40,000 tons of steel to dust in ten seconds? Seriously, I did not know that. Thats how they were able to bring the Towers down so easily. And did you know that 7 of the 9/11 hijackers are still alive and living in Jamaica. (Ok, so I made up the part about Jamaica, but they really are alive.) I recieved this information from a credible source (who just happened to be the guy holding the banner saying 1,000 engineers and architects want the truth about 9/11.) A thousand.

Your humble blogger was the cameraman for some the video. I am now officially a member of SOG Media.

Someone You Should Know

We don't do this often enough on this site. I have no excuse other than current events seem to take precedent.

This gentleman was in town visiting this weekend and a friend sent me a photo from this morning. I'm not sharing the photo, but I am sharing this Marine's dedication to country.

Colonel Wesley Fox USMC Ret
Col. Fox was born in Herndon, Virginia, the oldest of ten. He enlisted in the Marine Corps shortly before his 19th birthday, on August 4, 1950. Corporal Fox was wounded in action during the Korean War on September 8, 1951, but returned for a second tour of duty in Korea as a Platoon Sergeant.

After his Korean War service, Fox returned to the United States and served as both a drill instructor and recruiter. He was promoted to First Sergeant in May 1966, and soon after was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant.

Assigned to Vietnam, First Lieutenant Fox's actions in Quang Tri Province during Operation Dewey Canyon on February 22, 1969 earned him the Medal of Honor. Having been wounded in action, along with almost every other member of his unit, Fox personally neutralized one enemy emplacement and directed his men to destroy others. After his executive officer was mortally wounded, Fox continued to direct the actions of his Marines, ordering air strikes and coordinating the advance until the enemy retreated. Fox was wounded again in the final assault, but refused medical attention while he reorganized his troops and prepared the wounded for evacuation. The medal was presented to then-Captain Fox by President Richard Nixon on March 2, 1971.

Colonel Fox retired from the Marine Corps in September 1993. He continued to wear the uniform for eight more years as a deputy commandant of cadets for the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets. During his time at Virginia Tech, Fox spoke of his experiences to America's next generation of military officers, business executives, and civic leaders.

Fox has written a book about his experiences in the military, Marine Rifleman: Forty-Three Years in the Corps (ISBN 1-57488-425-5), and was featured on the 2003 PBS program American Valor.

“We’re going to clean out the swamp here,” Levin said. “We’re going to deal with the weak underbelly, whether they like it or not. You guys are going to learn to hate me and hate us more and more when you’re out on your asses looking for a job and can’t find one with the almost 10 percent unemployed and the almost 20 percent underemployed and unemployed. You’re going to learn to hate me and hate the tens of millions of people who put you in office because we can drag you the hell out of office too. You’re not going to talk to us this way and get away with it – I can tell you that right now.”

Leaderless House

Budget blink-off is anyone's game --
Did you know that no one is in charge at the United States House of Representatives? Seriously. The Tea Partiers are going Benghazi over the budget, and they have conservative firebrands Mark Levin and Erick Erickson to back them up. Meanwhile, GOP leadership is trying to regain control by "shopping" around anonymous "hit jobs" on their earnest but annoying Tea Party juniors. This doesn't mean that Democrats have the game on lock, however!
According to Beltway gossip newsletter POLITICO, "The top two Democratic leaders in the House have twice split on whether to approve short-term government funding bills that cut billions from federal accounts. Senate Democrats haven’t put forward a long-term spending plan that can move through their chamber, and Democrats on both sides of the Capitol say they have no idea where the White House stands or who’s running the show." The score is zero-zero, basically, so the budget battle is still anyone's game.

Our BFF SKK (thats NOT a Soviet weapon), ruffled some flaky feathers the other day.

Firm Fires Back At Blogger Allegations Over Manning Rally Press Release

This week, a press release was issued (text after the jump) with details about a rally planned for March 20 in support of Pfc. Bradley Manning. Manning is being held on a Marine Corps base in Quantico, V.A. on charges that he’s responsible for turning over classified information to Wikileaks. He’s been held since July, and some have called into question his treatment while in custody, saying that Manning has been abused. State Department spokesperson P.J. Crowley resigned from his post last week over his criticism of the way Manning is being held.

Union Members Destroy Documents In WI

I caught this on FB and made the jump to Weasel Zippers. Someone needs to go to jail for this. This is absolutely illegal.

Union Protestors in Wisconsin Destroy Democrat Recall Petitions and Police Do Nothing

The petition rally was originally scheduled at a local Merrill restaurant but was relocated after the proprietors received many phone calls and felt they needed to back out. The committee then set up in front of the Lincoln County Courthouse to offer citizens an opportunity to sign their names to the petition. Over 1,000 calls had been sent out the previous day notifying area residents of the petition rally.

Upon arrival, members of the recall committee were encircled by union protesters carrying signs and a leader with a mega phone who began chanting and ranting loudly. They packed in tightly around the petition collection table so as to prevent those attempting to sign from doing so. At one point, a pro union protester, pretending to be interested in signing the petition, wrote profanity across a partially collected petition form, than began ripping up the completed petitions that were in close proximity.

Military members RKBA strengthened

The Second Amendment rights of military members will soon be be better protected. Many base commanders have ordered restrictions on offbase, off-duty ownership, storage, and carrying of firearms.

David Hardy at Of Arms and the Law has discovered that those restrictions may be coming to an end. He provides a link to a pdf of the entire bill.

This is aimed at base commanders who have ordered that soldiers report and register privately-owned firearms kept at their residences off-based.

The Public Law version is not yet online, but here's a link to the 2011 National Defense Authorization Act as introduced, which became Pub. L. 111-383. Section 1062 (on PDF pages 253-54) provides:

"SEC. 1062. PROHIBITION ON INFRINGING ON THE INDIVIDUAL RIGHT TO LAWFULLY ACQUIRE, POSSESS, OWN, CARRY, AND OTHERWISE USE PRIVATELY OWNED FIREARMS, AMMUNITION, AND OTHER WEAPONS.

(a) In General- Except as provided in subsection (c), the Secretary of Defense shall not prohibit, issue any requirement relating to, or collect or record any information relating to the otherwise lawful acquisition, possession, ownership, carrying, or other use of a privately owned firearm, privately owned ammunition, or another privately owned weapon by a member of the Armed Forces or civilian employee of the Department of Defense on property that is not--
(1) a military installation; or

(2) any other property that is owned or operated by the Department of Defense.

Is Trump An Idiot?

He says WE left Iraq in shambles. Who's he been talking to? Al Jazeera? Baghdad Bob? We started re-building Iraq in 2004 when the CB's went in and set up schools to teach the Iraqi's basic construction skills. We've been re-building the WWTP's, power generation stations and punching fresh water wells every place they were needed. Insurgents blow the new stuff up because they want to keep everyone living in the stone age. We build it again. Sometimes again.
A Dhimmicrat Congress voted to give the oil contracts to foreign companies because those evil American oil companies weren't going to profit from this war. Never mind the pink slip for those wells had already been signed in the blood of the men and women who died freeing them for the Iraqi people.

The Donald will not be President without a firm grip on reality.

President Obama's Opening Shot to Appear "Reasonable "

President Obama has finally spoken out on gun control. He wants "common sense" regulations that no one could "reasonably" disagree with. He assures us that he SUPPORTS the individual right to keep and bear arms. BUT.......he is advocating the "common sense" pancea du jour, background checks on private sales. Of course, he doesn't describe it that way. He says "gun sellers" vs "gun dealers." Its the "gun show loophole" yet again. Gun control groups are STILL describing private sellers as unlicensed dealers.

He quietly placed his op-ed in the Arizona Daily Star. It was very well written, very smooth, in fact. Unless you were familiar with the language of gun control you would miss his carefully worded phrases that changes gun-control groups into "gun safety" groups, mentions "reasonable" restrictions without giving details on what's reasonable about his ideas, and implies that its those "unreasonable" gun owners that might be the problem.

First he scares you and reminds you of tragedy - the recent shooting in Tuscon. And, of course he outright lies. That's par for the course.....
...Americans by and large rightly refrained from finger-pointing, assigning blame or playing politics with other people's pain.
Apparently he was playing golf those days when a madman's actions were blamed on "rightwing rhetoric" or Sarah Palin, or talk radio, or any number of conservative elements by the liberal media and political class. In other words, his side of the aisle.

He describes Loughner as "a man our Army rejected as unfit for service," "unstable" and "bent on violence" and that he was able to easily buy a gun. Yet, he leaves out that the background check failed because the local law enforcement did not do THEIR job nor the Army theirs. The Sheriff's department knew of his propensity for violence and the Army knew that Loughner admitted to using drugs. Neither passed that information to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. There was nothing to report. His panacea of background checks failed. In Virginia, we had a similar problem with Cho, the Virginia Tech killer. He was even sent before a judge but they were unwilling to commit him. And yet he wants more of them.....

President Obama, though trying to appear as a neutral participant, subtlety drives a point that gun owners are the obstructionists to preventing more killings.

The fact is, almost all gun owners in America are highly responsible. They're our friends and neighbors. They buy their guns legally and use them safely, whether for hunting or target shooting, collection or protection. And that's something that gun-safety advocates need to accept. Likewise, advocates for gun owners should accept the awful reality that gun violence affects Americans everywhere, whether on the streets of Chicago or at a supermarket in Tucson.

He paints gun owners as either being ignorant or insensitive to the reality of gun violence immediately after stating that protection is a viable need to own weapons. That reality is, of course, why 2nd Amendment supporters advocate the easing of gun restrictions across the nation so that law abiding citizens are able to arm themselves.
I know that every time we try to talk about guns, it can reinforce stark divides. People shout at one another, which makes it impossible to listen. We mire ourselves in stalemate, which makes it impossible to get to where we need to go as a country.
The only stalemate in regards to 2nd Amendment rights and true commonsense gun laws is in the minds of gun control groups. It is they that feel its "impossible to get to where we need to go as a country." Freedom is expanding across the nation. Gun carry laws are easing everywhere. Citizens are again being treated as free people, not subjects. It is the gun control groups, defeated by the Heller case of their dream to ban firearms, that have turned to the shibboleth of "commonsense gun laws" without stating who determines the meaning of "commonsense."

I'm willing to bet that responsible, law-abiding gun owners agree that we should be able to keep an irresponsible, law-breaking few - dangerous criminals and fugitives, for example - from getting their hands on a gun in the first place.

I'm willing to bet they don't think that using a gun and using common sense are incompatible ideas - that we should check someone's criminal record before he can check out at a gun seller; that an unbalanced man shouldn't be able to buy a gun so easily; that there's room for us to have reasonable laws that uphold liberty, ensure citizen safety and are fully compatible with a robust Second Amendment.

Again, he implies that its the gun owners that need to change OUR outlook, that WE might not agree that criminals and guns shouldn't mix. He implies that HIS ideas are the "common sense" ideas. Neither Cho nor Loughner had a record of any sort. What does he propose to do to improve the background check to stop them from getting guns? Privacy laws restrict mental health records from being used. If law enforcement agencies and the judiciary don't do what is necessary, dangerous people will not be put on the list. Remember, to deprive someone of a right, there must be due process.

The President seeks to drive a wedge between the 2nd Amendment advocates and the general populace that don't get into the trenches fighting the gun control crowd. His statements are posed in such a way as to imply that only "unreasonable" people would disagree with his stated improvements on the background check.
Most gun owners know that the word "commonsense" isn't a code word for "confiscation." And none of us should be willing to remain passive in the face of violence or resigned to watching helplessly as another rampage unfolds on television.
Those "most gun owners" don't follow 2nd Amendment politics. They don't follow the propaganda put out by the Violence Policy Center, The Brady Campaign, etc. They ALL advocate "commonsense" gun laws. Yet they can't define a commonsense gun in debate without losing the argument. The Brady Campaign's idea of "commonsense" gun restrictions include licensing and registration of firearms, useless magazine size restrictions, etc. And where there is registration, there is ALWAYS confiscation. So, no President Obama, we do know that "commonsense" is a code word for confiscation. These comments at Common Gunsense, a blog run by Joan Peterson, Brady Campaign board member, are the perfect example of the evasiveness of the gun control crowd and the attempts by 2nd Amendment supporters to shed light on the subject. Some quotes by Joan Peterson, who has stated that gun control groups don't want to take our guns, just enact some common sense laws. There is, apparently, no 2nd Amendment restriction that she does not like.

In answer to this comment:
If I may point out, in the UK where handguns are banned, semi automatics are banned, private gun owners are licensed and registered, purchase of a firearm must require "proof of need" and permission from the govt, they are still calling for more restrictions. And they always call those restrictions "reasonable" and "common sense." Are there any gun laws which some on your side wish for that you, personally, would find unreasonable?
she replied: (emphasis mine)
Good for the UK. I'm all for it. I find the gun laws passed allowing guns in National Parks and on Amtrak unreasonable. I find Shall Issue CCW laws unreasonable. I find state laws that do not require background checks or training in order to get a permit unreasonable. I find the legal sale of guns to anyone without a background check unreasonable- that is a part of the Brady Law that is unreasonable.

And that's just one reply to a comment on one post.

Sound familiar? This op-ed is just the ....opening shot......of President Obama's attempt to appear a moderate on gun control and to advance his agenda without ruing his chances for 2012.

Congressman West supports the Troops when certain others.....don't

Congressman Allen West walks the walk.

He placed his career on the line when necessity demanded it.

He confronts evil in no uncertain terms.

He is part and parcel an American Fighting Man.

And now he wants credit to go where credit is due.

American military members are being targeted and killed by Islamist terrorists from Ft. Hood to Frankfurt, Germany, whether our "commander" in chief believes it or not. And Rep. West wants that recognized.

Congressman West is still supporting his troops. He will introduce The Global Combat Zone Recognition Act next week.

From his website:

The Global Combat Zone Recognition Act ensures that men and women targeted specifically because they wear our nation’s uniform are treated and recognized as the same as those who are attacked in active combat zones.

“The complexities of the 21st Century Battlefield require us to reassess and redefine what a combat zone is," West said. "Our men and women in uniform today face a non-state, non-uniform belligerent who has no regard for international borders or boundaries, to include our homeland. Our fight against radical Islam is not just against the Taliban in Afghanistan or al Qaida in Iraq, but against a global movement aimed at destroying Western civilization as we know it.”

"From Fort Hood, Texas, to Little Rock, Arkansas, to Frankfurt, Germany, radicals have targeted the men and women of our Armed Forces simply because they were in uniform. Whether in the United States, Europe or the Middle East, any soldier, sailor, airman or Marine killed or wounded in this global conflict deserves nothing less than to be treated as if they were fighting in Iraq or Afghanistan.”

When They Do This In New York

Its called extortion. Pay or lose.

A large man in a three-piece suit with two other large friends walks into your place of business and tells you that your building is in a very hazardous area. There have been several businesses that caught fire in recent weeks and they can protect yours. It will only cost you 50% of your weekly gross receipts. Kind of a benevolent association, if you will.

Nonsense you say. The fire department is only three blocks away and you have a good insurance policy. Well, the large gentlemen says, as he plays with his Zippo, the fire department and insurance company only comes out AFTER the fire. We're offering to prevent the fire from starting in the first place and now the cost has risen to 60% of your gross receipts, for the aggravation of having to tell you twice.

That's called extortion. Use of fear to extract money.

The government workers' unions have started employing similar tactics to get their way. Only when they do it, its called collective bargaining.

Lets go to Wisconsin where the Republican legislators trying to save the state's economy have asked the service unions to step up and lend a hand by contributing a small amount of their pay to their own retirement plans (I stuff 5% of my wages into mine, plus my profit-sharing) and be repsonsible citizens of the state by curtailing the act of bargaining for higher wages since they don't really produce anything marketable, nothing of value with a relative cost to worth ratio. They have no real dangers in the workplace, unless you count papercuts, the occasional gas flare-up from eating to much rich food, the asshat down the hall who keeps sending you explicit emails and the fat-ass you get from sitting on it all day long.

You'd think the legislators were asking for the firstborn child of every union member in Wisconsin. Wait, based on what I've seen so far, the unions would give their firstborn as long as they got their way with everything else.

Now they've reverted to the behavior of unions we've all come to know and loathe. Death threats have been sent via email. (How stupid is that in this day and age? What ever happened to the old style of sending death threats; letters cut out of newspapers/magazines and pasted onto posterboard? You know, REAL cut and paste? I swear the creativity and initiative in this country has just bottomed out.)

I know ya'll are tired of hearing this story being repeated over and over..what? You've never heard the LSM report this story? You say this is the first you've heard of it? How can that be? The LSM is always on top of any story where politicians are getting death threats from citizens exercising their government provided right of free speech, assembly and expression. Oh wait, thats only if the politician has a D behind their name. My bad.

Thanks to my favorite two-headed talk show hosts, Scott and Richard, for reminding me I needed to do a rant on this.

Re-Posted Because One of Those Airmen Is A Virginian

Uncle Jimbo at Blackfive on Redacted, DePalma and Mark Cuban

The movie Redacted was a grotesque monstrosity that was specifically designed to show the American soldier as an evil Crusader pillaging, raping, burning and murdering his way through the Muslim world. For that Brian De Palma and Mark Cuban, who helped fund it, deserve to burn in Hell. Now they have the blood of the US troops killed in Frankfurt splashed on themselves head to toe.

According to the German wire service dapd, the German Attorney General’s Office has confirmed that the video clip viewed by the Frankfurt Airport shooter Arid Uka — and that allegedly provoked him to kill American soldiers — was indeed the rape scene from Brian De Palma’s fictional anti-Iraq War movie Redacted. Attorney General spokesperson Frank Wallenta confirmed the identity of the clip to the German television news magazine Spiegel TV.

I don't believe there is any reason or justification for censoring almost anything that people want to publish. But you do bear the consequences of your actions, and those two bastards had a hand in this. They made this film specifically to inflame anyone who saw it with the belief that Americans are evil and inhuman. I don't believe they specifically wanted some Muslim scumbag to kill Americans, but it was an easily foreseeable outcome and like I said, they bear that responsibility and I wish I believed they would feel as badly as they should about that.

Statement From Speaker Boehner

Speaker Boehner:
Facts Simply Don’t Match Obama Administration Statements on American Energy

WASHINGTON, DC – House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) issued the following statement after President Obama held a press conference on energy and gas prices:

“Rising gas prices are a major burden for American families and small businesses already dealing with a tough economy. While the Obama Administration claims to be committed to American energy production, the facts and its own actions say otherwise. Yesterday, the new House majority announced the American Energy Initiative, an ongoing effort to stop Washington policies that are driving up gas prices and expand American energy production. To address rising gas prices, reduce our dependence on foreign energy, and help create American jobs, we invite President Obama to join us in turning this plan into action.”

NOTE: Under the Obama Administration, domestic oil production has dropped by 16 percent versus projected levels, and future projections show continued decreases in domestic production. The Administration has also shut down energy production in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico and off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.

Is It Deliberate?

Understanding the liberal mind and playbook as I do, I would have to say "Yes"; because the solution to this is drilling and it's the 800-pound gorilla in the room and they refuse to acknowledge it.

Government & Politics
Obama Indigestion Causing Gas Pains

The national average for gas is approaching $4 per gallon, once again causing pain at the pump. According to the U.S. Energy Department, the average yearly cost for an American family to fill up the car with gas will rise 28 percent from last year, or about $700. A family can't lose that much money without also losing the ability to buy other goods or services. The price of gasoline has skyrocketed by 67 percent since Barack Obama took office, but, needless to say, he isn't letting this crisis go to waste.

The fact is that Obama's energy policy is working exactly the way it was designed to work. His intent is to drive up the price of fossil fuels in order to make alternative energy sources seem more appealing. Alternative sources have been heavily subsidized for years and yet still can't rival fossil fuels, so, Obama reasons, prices on the latter must be driven higher.

In 2008, now-Energy Secretary Steven Chu said, "Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe." Obama began work on that less than one month after taking office in 2009 by reversing George W. Bush's expansion of offshore oil drilling. When the BP Deepwater Horizon spill occurred in April 2010, the administration took this as a golden opportunity to enact a moratorium on offshore drilling. Despite multiple court rulings against that moratorium and even being ruled in contempt, however, the administration persists with its policy.

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar put up the Left's favorite straw man, saying, "[W]e don't believe that the 'drill, baby, drill' program is the way that's going to get us to the energy independence that we need for America." No one says that domestic drilling on its own would achieve energy independence, but putting so much of our own oil off limits or underutilized -- offshore, the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR), the Bakken Formation to name but a few examples -- certainly doesn't help.

The White House has countered by floating a proposal to release some oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) to bring down prices. This is a bad idea for two reasons. First, it doesn't replace domestic production, and, second, it would need to be replaced as expediently as possible, thus merely kicking the can down the road. In essence, the administration is admitting that supply must increase to offset price hikes, but in every other way, it's working against supply increases. Such rank indifference to the plight of ordinary Americans has become a White House hallmark.

Allen West | Military Diversity Report

Allen West | military diversity report | The Daily Caller

“I think that when you look at these groups and other liberal special interest groups that keep trying to chip away at the military,” he said. “We are engaged with a very vicious enemy in two combat areas and who knows what is going to happen in North Africa and the Middle East and now is not the time for us to stop and start sensitivity training.”

West suspects that the military as an institution is targeted by liberals because of the things it represents.

“The military stands for things that liberals don’t care for: standards, discipline, honor, character. And those are things they don’t like because they believe everyone should be equal…that is not what the military is all about.”

Keith Ellison's Flawed Testimony

Keith Ellison's Flawed Testimony
During his testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Muslim radicalization Thursday, Rep. Keith Ellison continued to repeat the flawed findings and interpretations of two studies issued in recent months.

Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat and one of two Muslims in Congress, cited a study that said 40 percent of terror plots since 9/11 had been prevented by Muslim Americans. That was a reference to a report by the Muslim Public Affairs Committee that actually claimed that almost one-third of al-Qaida-related terror plots were thwarted with help of the Muslim community.

However, as IPT reported in December, that study overstated the role of community assistance and selectively defined a terrorist incident. It also ignored the value of standard law enforcement techniques, such as the role of informants.

Ellison also mentioned another study released last month by the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security in North Carolina. That study said there had been a drop in 2010 in terrorism-related incidents involving Muslims.

But IPT pointed out last month that a closer reading of that study revealed that “with Muslims comprising about 1 percent of the population, it is clear that Muslims are engaging in terrorism at a greater rate than non-Muslims.” Although the number of terror incidents tied to Muslims did decline from 2009 to 2010, the total for 2010 was still higher than in all but one year since 9/11.

Gates On the F-35

Uncle Jimbo has a piece in the WashTimes trying to decide who won this debate between SecDef Gates and SecDef Gates:
Robert M. Gates is on his farewell lap as secretary of defense and is making his final speeches to the service academies. He also seems to be debating himself in the process. He made the following remarks to Army cadets at West Point:

“And I must tell you, when it comes to predicting the nature and location of our next military engagements, since Vietnam, our record has been perfect. We have never once gotten it right, from the Mayaguez to Grenada, Panama, Somalia, the Balkans, Haiti, Kuwait, Iraq and more - we had no idea a year before any of these missions that we would be so engaged."

“The need for heavy armor and firepower to survive, close with and destroy the enemy will always be there, as veterans of Sadr City and Fallujah can no doubt attest.”

As Jimbo so eloquently states, "Thats common sense right there"

He [Gates] also said this:
“In my opinion, any future defense secretary who advises the president to again send a big American land army into Asia or into the Middle East or Africa should ‘have his head examined,’ as Gen. MacArthur so delicately put it.”

So now we've eliminated two whole continents and the center of Islamic extremism.

Now Lets hear the SecDef at the Air Force Academy:
“That includes the requirement for more sophisticated, high-end capabilities. I’ve said before that it would be irresponsible to assume that a future adversary - given enough time, money and technological acumen - will not one day be able to directly threaten U.S. command of the skies.

“So even as I’ve touted the need to incorporate the lessons of the current conflicts, I have also committed the Department of Defense - and this country - to the most advanced and expensive tactical fighter program in history - the $300 billion F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. The department is programmed to buy 2,400 of these aircraft, and the first Air Force training aircraft will arrive at Eglin Air Force Base in just over two months. Having a robust, large quantity of fifth-generation tactical air fighters is something I view as a core requirement, and in this era of increasing budget constraints, my goal has been to ensure that core capabilities for all the services are protected. This has meant increasing development funding for the F-35, scaling back or cutting other programs that are not as essential and intervening directly to get the program back on track, on budget and on schedule.”

Russia Still Believes They Are A Superpower

|

I Hate To Keep Repeating Myself

Not really. Hopefully, if enough people hear it and realize just how independent we COULD become, they'll stand up and demand the Bambi Administration allow drilling.

What Country Is Sitting On The World's Largest Untapped Oil Reserve?

The United States is again, for the second time in less than three years, being reminded of its absurd dependence of foreign sources of energy, most notably, oil. The upheavals in the Middle East have driven up the cost of a barrel of oil into triple digits as it was in 2008. The increasing demands of countries such as China and India and the deliberate devaluation of the dollar by the Federal Reserve and the Obama administration are steadily pushing up oil prices in dollars.
The country's dependence of foreign sources has increased to 52% of the daily requirement as compared to 45% just 15 years ago. Over half of that amount comes from countries that are inherently unstable or ruled by despotic regimes whose interest it is to de-stabilize the United States.

Muslim Brotherhood

The Muslim Brotherhood in America:
Part I
Understanding the Threat

It is now March of 2011. That jihadi attack on the United States is over nine years behind us. The declaration of a global jihad from Iran in 1979 is over 30 years in our rear view mirror. The national security apparatus of the United States has spent hundreds of billions of dollars to “make America safer,” yet we still have not defined our enemy – or even tried. There is no place in the national security structure which has objectively evaluated the threat doctrine of our enemy, and then created a strategic plan for victory for the United States – per U.S. warfighting doctrine. This lack of strategic understanding of the nature of the threat we face is not only costing us lives on the battlefield in wars with no realistically stated objectives, but so long as we drift aimlessly, we cannot win and we allow the enemy to move our boat as he sees fit. That, is the enemy’s strategy. And he is executing with great success.

Does anyone wonder how it is the U.S. military is crushing the enemy on the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan (and elsewhere) daily, yet not winning the strategic war?

The United States continues to view the wars (the establishment sees this as several conflicts, not as one global conflict) as kinetic engagements where guns, air power, drones, bombs, and other weapon of war are brought to bear on “Al Qaeda terrorists” and others with whom we are engaged on the many battlefields around the world. At the FBI, the focus is on preventing the next attack. While this is important, “attacks” are not the main focus of effort for this enemy. Local and State Police are also focused on preventing attacks, the physical security of office buildings, critical infrastructure, and the safety of important public figures. When the subject of an investigation is found NOT to be involved in a plot to cause “violence” that case is closed and the investigator goes on to the next one in the stack. This is where we are losing the war. While preventing a school bus bombing or the take-over of a bank by Jihadis should be taken seriously by our law enforcement officers, from the enemy’s perspective, these are tactical engagements, not strategic.

Every brand new intelligence officer in the United States military knows that when the United States evaluates a threat, our doctrine drives us to begin our process with WHO the enemy says he is and with WHAT the enemy says are HIS reasons for acting. That is where the U.S. analytical process begins – per our own doctrine. If we had done this after 9/11, we would not have so much confusion about the enemy we are engaging.

There Is Only One Solution

DRILL BABY DRILL!!!!

How Obama Is Making Gas Prices Higher
Yesterday, for the first time since September 2008, the price of a barrel of crude oil topped $100 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. But while the recent unrest in the Middle East has had some marginal effect on rising prices, the most significant factor has been increased oil demand worldwide. That is why, long before the recent protests even began, analysts were predicting $4 a gallon by this summer and $5 a gallon by 2012. Anyone could have predicted that the recovering world economy, coupled with the continued growth of India and China, was going to push oil prices higher. So if an Administration wanted to keep gas prices down, they could have mitigated increased oil demand by increasing domestic oil production. But that is not what the Obama Administration has done. Instead of increasing domestic oil supplies, the Obama Administration has cut them at every opportunity, and Americans are now suffering because of those choices.

Back in February, when the protests in Egypt were first unfolding, Energy Secretary Steven Chu was asked what the Administration could do to combat rising world oil prices. Chu responded: "The best way America can protect itself against these incidents is to decrease our dependency on foreign oil, in fact to diversify our supply." It is now one month later and the Administration has not updated its talking points. Pressed on gas prices yesterday, White House spokesman Jay Carney said: "We are also, as you have seen over the past two-plus years, very focused on the need precisely to develop other energy sources so that we are not as dependent on foreign oil as we have been in the past." So what are these "other energy sources" the White House has been developing? How does the White House plan to "diversify supply" to reduce gas prices? The answers are corn, wind, sun, and electric cars. And they won't help a bit.

According to Heritage analysts Nick Loris and John Ligon, Obama’s energy policy consists of: increased biofuel production, increased electric vehicle production, and increased renewable power production. These are all terrible public policies. The major source of biomass production, corn-based ethanol, produces less energy per unit volume than gasoline, contributes to food price increases, costs taxpayers $4 billion to produce 2 percent of the total gasoline supply, and has dubious environmental effects. The electric cars the Obama Administration has invested in are prohibitively costly, do not fit the needs of the American consumer, and are also environmentally suspect. The other sources of energy the Obama Administration is subsidizing and promoting—wind and solar—not only make up a minuscule 1 percent of America’s electricity generation but are entirely irrelevant to gasoline supply in the transportation sector. But not only has President Obama failed to diversify our energy supply in any meaningful way; he has actually proactively moved to cut our own domestic energy supplies:

First, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar canceled 77 leases for oil and gas drilling in Utah in his first month in office. According to the U.S. Department of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management, there are 800 billion barrels (a moderate estimate) of recoverable oil from oil shale in the Green River Formation, which goes through Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. This is three times greater than the proven oil reserves of Saudi Arabia.

Then last summer, President Obama needlessly instituted not one but two outright drilling bans in the Gulf of Mexico. The Energy Information Administration estimates that President Obama’s offshore drilling ban will cut domestic offshore oil production by 13 percent this year.

Last fall, Interior Secretary Salazar announced that the eastern Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic coast, and the Pacific coast will not be developed, effectively banning drilling in those areas for the next seven years. At least 19 billion barrels of easily recoverable oil lie off the currently restricted Pacific and Atlantic coasts and the eastern Gulf of Mexico.

President Obama has also failed to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, where an estimated 10 billion barrels of oil lie beneath a few thousand acres that can be accessed with minimal environmental impact. Those 10 billion barrels are equivalent to 16 years’ worth of imports from Saudi Arabia at the current rate.

"The Obama Administration is repeating the mistakes of President Jimmy Carter’s failed energy policies, which marred his term and stigmatized the 1970s. They are leading us straight into another national energy disaster," Steve Forbes warned in Politico yesterday. And what would that "energy disaster" cost the American people? According to The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis, an increase in the per-barrel price of imported crude oil by $10 in the first quarter of 2011 and by $20 in the second quarter would reduce gross domestic product by $20 billion, drop potential employment by nearly 100,000 jobs, and increase gasoline prices by 18 cents per gallon in 2011 alone.Yesterday, Carney said that "the president is extremely aware of the impact that a spike in oil prices can have on gasoline prices and therefore on the wallets and pocketbooks of average Americans."

If that is true, and if Energy Secretary Chu really has recanted his belief that Americans ought to be paying $8 a gallon for gas, then the President must completely reverse his entire energy policy so far by allowing Americans to develop our own natural resources, issuing permits in a timely manner, and removing regulatory and litigation delays on energy projects.

Finally They Make A Decision

This should make the 20 March gathering very interesting.
WikiLeaks Suspect Charged With Aiding Enemy

An Army private suspected of leaking hundreds of thousands of sensitive and classified documents to the WikiLeaks anti-secrecy group was charged with aiding the enemy, a crime that can bring the death penalty or life in prison.

The Army filed 22 new charges Wednesday against Pvt. 1st Class Bradley E. Manning, including causing intelligence information to be published on the Internet. The charges don't specify which documents, but the charges involve the suspected distribution by the military analyst of more than 250,000 confidential State Department cables as well as a raft of Iraq and Afghanistan war logs. Thousands of the documents have been published on the WikiLeaks website.

Although aiding the enemy is a capital offense under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Army prosecutors have notified the Manning defense team that it will not recommend the death penalty to the two-star general who is in charge of proceeding with legal action.

The Army has not ruled out charging others in the case, pending the results of an ongoing review. Army leaders have suggested that there may have been supervisory lapses that allowed the breach to occur.

When Will They Start Taking Care of Themselves?

Don't know bout ya'll, but I'll be damned if I would allow some faceless union apparatchik to handle MY retirement funding.

A Note to Labor Secretary Solis:

Collective Bargaining Has No Place in Government

This past weekend, when ethically-challenged U.S. Secretary Hilda Solis told a cheering DNC crowd that "the fight is on" (referring to the Battle of Wisconsin) she openly declared her devotion to union bosses, as well as her disdain for the 88% of Americans who are union-free and stuck with the tab. Though it shouldn't be a surprise as Solis was a board member of the American Rights at Work; the union "shadow group" mouthpiece pushing the hallucinogenically-named Employee Free Choice Act, while she served in Congress, such a blatant provocation on behalf of a particular constituency from an official in a cabinet-level position is a good reminder of just how far America has fallen.

BLACKFIVE

BLACKFIVE

It is tougher every day to look at either Afghanistan or Pakistan and give a rat's ass. Absent nukes in Pakistan, I would have to say that the "rubble doesn't cause trouble" strategy would look pretty damn good.

20 March Code Oink Circle Jerk-Susie Benjamin Volunteers As Pivotman

Well, the nimrods, numbskulls, jackwagons and asshats will be back at Crossroads Marine Corps on 20 March for more Free Bradley Manning. I was there the last time, and I gotta tell ya, sometimes free is not as good as you would think. I mean, they said they were going to have a free manning rally. I wasn't sure what manning was, but hey, if it's free, I'm there. Well, turns out manning wasn't free; they weren't giving anything away and to make matters worse, I saw Princess Boy, Wuke fwom Wockville, and LARGE MARGE.

I did get a chance to say "Hey Susie" to my favorite socialist lesbian, though. So the day wasn't a total loss.

Richmond Military Society 5K Run-Blogger Challenge

The Richmond Military Society's 5K run is 26 March.

They want to line the route with American flags in memory of all those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in the GWOT. You can help by purchasing a flag for six bucks at the link above.

Six Dollars, people. ($6.00) One decent meal at Macdonald's. You don't really need that double-meat double-cheese 50,000 calorie heart attack detonator, do you?

From a friend (and Gold Star Wife of a Sky Angel):
Flags will line the course of Richmond Military Society 5k for the American Widow Project. Each flag represents a soldier we have lost during the Afghanistan and Iraq Wars.

The editorial staff here at United Conservatives will be stepping up and providing at least 10 in memory of the Sky Angels from the Second-503 173DABN.

I challenge the ODBA and the readers at BNN to match us.
