The president deliberately confused judicial activism--the wholesale manufacture of rights and laws by judges in accordance with their personal or political views--with judicial review, the power courts have to overturn unconstitutional legislation, which the Supreme Court has exercised since Marbury v. Madison (1803).
What is important about Obama’s attack on the Supreme Court yesterday is not that he attacked “judicial activism,” but that he attacked the court at all. It is clear that Obama does not even believe what he said about judicial review—i.e. that courts should not overturn a “duly constituted” law that had received a majority vote in the legislature. If he did, his Department of Justice would not be suing the state of Arizona over its immigration law, and would not be suing the state of Texas over its new voter ID law. In that sense, his comments are merely partisan hypocrisy.
But Obama, following Bell, does believe that the Supreme Court does not deserve the respect accorded to it by his predecessors (even FDR “usually waited” until the Court had made its decisions before criticizing it).
As always, we should pay more attention to Obama’s actions than his words. The very fact that he disparaged the Court is more important than the muddled substance of what he said.

The Democratic National Committee has released a web ad purporting to show Gov. Mitt Romney in 2008 advocating for an individual mandate at the federal level. This would, of course, be a devastating "smoking gun" proving that Romney had explicitly endorsed and even campaigned on "ObamaCare" before it was an unconstitutional glimmer in Barack Obama's eye.
The problem with the video the DNC has released (and which has been picked up by their reliable minions including Ezra Klein at the Washington Post, Huffington Post, and Talking Points Memo) is that the excerpt from a Jan 5, 2008 New Hampshire debate is selectively edited and does not include an exculpatory moment one minute later where Gov. Romney clearly and unequivocally states he would NOT be in favor of an individual mandate at the federal level.
The DNC's video is misleading and dishonest since it does not include Gov. Romney's clear refusal to call for a national mandate, and the CNN/Acosta video is vague and can be interpreted in various ways.
Is the selectively edited DNC video the blockbuster tape that Begala promised CNN's audience? Or does he have something else hidden away? And, since he is a paid analyst for CNN, shouldn't the network press him on this issue, as it is their public responsibility to seek the truth rather than enable their employees to use their airwaves for political brinkmanship?

A new High Definition clip from the same video appears to make clear that Zimmerman had a gash, or wound of some kind on the back of his head. That would be totally consistent with his version of events on the night in question and opposite the impression ABC News gave its viewers.
Big Journalism called the ABC video-based report reckless and revealing of nothing after it first aired. ABC's presumed ability to enhance and review video before airing only makes their report all the more outrageous. Given analysis by Breitbart Media and the Daily Caller already performed, the ABC video appeared to be inconclusive, at best.
The new High Defintion clip from the police video Breitbart TV is releasing, see below, makes any determination beyond the video being inconclusive is shoddy, if not intentionally unethical, Journalism - if not deceptive and misleading Journalism. To date, ABC has offered no official response to the broad and convincing criticism of the disingenuous nature of their aired report.

Compare J Street’s stance on Israel’s with West’s.
In 2009, he wrote: We face the resurrection of the original enemy of the Jewish people, a resurgent Islamic fundamentalism evidencing itself in totalitarian, imperialist design. This time it has morphed itself using 21st century technologies still retaining a 7th century mentality, utilizing terrorism internationally to promote its perverse aims.
One of those objectives is the destruction of the State the world agreed to support in creating, Israel. In keeping with previous traditions established by Muhammad, the modern Islamic warriors promote Taquiyya, lying to promote Islam. They also, just as Muhammad, use the Treaty of Hudabiyya as a model to delay and deceive their enemies until they are ready to strike. Under Yasser Arafat some 200 agreements were never honored.
Why would we trust any word coming from the mouth of the psychopathic delusional leader of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? The mad mullahs, insane imams, and combative clerics are again calling for the supremacy of Islam, no different from earlier centuries.
The bottom line: Allen West loves Israel. J Street does not.

What we have to remember is that the gas prices we are currently paying are the prices Obama has given us via his refusal to expand oil production—period. These gas prices are Obama’s misery index, and as they rise from an average of $3.90 a gallon to an average of $4.25 (and higher), economic misery will rise with them.
The Obama’s can take vacation after vacation without worrying about the cost because they charge the American people for it. But the American people don’t get to return the favor. Instead, we have cut back on eating out, on shopping, and on myriad other things we enjoy, just so we can pay Obama’s exorbitant gas prices. Hope and change isn’t working out so good.

Susan Jacobson of the Orlando Sentinel reports that an elderly Florida couple has fled their home, after Spike Lee re-tweeted their address, thinking he was sending people to the home of George Zimmerman, who shot and killed Trayvon Martin.
Jacobson reports:A school-cafeteria lunch lady and her husband have received hate mail, unwanted visits from reporters and fearful inquiries from neighbors — all because their Sanford-area address is being disseminated on Twitter as belonging to Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman, her son said late Tuesday. The woman, 70, who has a heart condition, and her husband, 72, have temporarily moved to a hotel to avoid the spotlight and possible danger, said son Chip Humble of Longwood. The woman has another son named William George Zimmerman who lived with her in 1995 and still lives in Central Florida. He is no relation to George Zimmerman, 28, who killed 17-year-old Trayvon Feb. 26, sparking national outrage and international interest.
The elderly couple are the latest victims of an attempt by the organized left--with the blessing of President Barack Obama himself--to exploit the death of Trayvon Martin to inflame political and racial divisions.

Earlier today Toby Harnden with the Daily Mail Tweeted me this update to the massive robocall scandal, perhaps one of the biggest criminal robocall enterprise in election history. My thought was that even the British media is covering this story. The British, not our own.
Only a few news outlets thus far (most notably in Cleveland) have covered the story and the RNC hasn't even registered a response. Writes Mike Flynn:And now it appears the illegal robocalls are back. BigGovernment has learned that voters in at least 5 states received the illegal calls yesterday; California, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. The calls themselves are silly. They try to tie GOP House members to Rush Limbaugh and the media-created 'war on women's health' narrative. What isn't silly, however, is the deliberate violation of federal law by some national political operation. The brazenness of continuing the calls even after media scrutiny does not bode well for the integrity of the Fall elections. If some organization is willing to blatantly violate the law in March, what will they be prepared to do in October? What's perhaps more troubling, however, is the non-reaction from the GOP. Neither the hapless NRCC, whose members are targeted by the phone calls, nor the RNC have pushed back on the illegal calls. Neither have pushed for any kind of investigation or public scrutiny.Illinois's Pat Brady is the only Republican speaking out:
A top Republican official has accused Democrats of being behind a fresh wave of illegal robocalls made to voters across the country by a shadowy group calling itself 'The Women of the 99 Percent'. Pat Brady, Republican party chairman in Illinois, issued a statement to MailOnline demanding a state investigation into the calls, first reported by MailOnline on March 9th. Voters in five districts in his state received more automated telephone calls yesterday linking Republican members of the House of Representatives to the conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh.
The automated calls are illegal because they do not state who they are from (there is no known group called The Women of the 99 Percent) or provide a callback number, as required under the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991.
'It is typical that a Democrat front group like this thumbs their noses at the same federal campaign finance laws they like to tout in their own campaign literature,' Brady said. He added that it was 'no coincidence' that the districts receiving the calls were all on 'the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) hit list', he demanding an immediate inquiry.
The organized effort is blatantly illegal yet there's been no investigation or even identification of the group responsible. Media will write reams about the Koch Brothers, but who's funding this egregiously expensive operation and why isn't it headline news?

Barack Obama has spent his presidency finding scapegoats and fleeing responsibility. For example, our massive deficit is not his fault. Rather, it’s George W. Bush’s fault. Our painfully high unemployment isn’t his fault either. Rather, it’s due to the fact that “the economy is so automated.” He’s even tried to assure us that we can’t blame him for the sharp rise in gasoline prices we’ve seen under his watch either. Rather, he boasts that he’s expanded domestic oil production to its highest point in the last eight years.
Here’s what he said in a speech on March 15: "Do not tell me that we're not drilling. We're drilling all over this country. There are a few spots we're not drilling. We're not drilling in the national mall. We're not drilling at your house. " He then grinned like the cat that just ate the mouse, as if saying these thing takes him off the hook for the fact that the price of gasoline has jumped over 100% on his watch.
That’s right—over 100%.
Here’s the problem, as with almost everything this administration tells us, there is a small sliver of truth in what Obama said, and he’s using that small sliver to hide the ugly reality behind it. For example, domestic production is currently up by 120,000 barrels a day. But Obama has cut foreign intake by 1,000,000 barrels a day. In other words, the ugly reality is that Obama is forcing us, as a nation, to make due with 880,000 less barrels of oil a day that we were used to having prior to his presidency. Take away that much oil a day in a situation that isn’t static—a situation where demand is constantly growing—and it’s no wonder our gas prices are through the roof.

This entire scam – there’s no better word for it – is based an interesting but totally irrelevant math quirk; when numbers are small, the difference between them is larger.
An Easy Math Trick
To understand the math behind this, let’s start simply and look at two very small numbers – 1 and 2.
If you had one dollar and I had two dollars, I have one dollar more than you. However, if I wanted to try to impress someone, just telling them that I was a dollar wealthier probably wouldn’t work. In an effort to sound more impressive, I could find a way to pump myself up by claiming that I had twice as much money as you. It’s true, of course – 2 is twice as much as 1 — but just knowing that I had twice as much money as someone else doesn’t really paint the whole picture.
If I want to get extra-fancy, I could also say “I have 100% more money than that person.” This is saying the same (misleading) thing as “I have twice as much” in a slightly different way. There’s a simple equation for determining this percentage difference for any two numbers.
(X / Y) – 1
So in this case, ( 2 / 1 ) – 1 = 1.
To get the ‘percent’ we just move the decimal point to the right two times and we get 100%.
Here’s the quirky part — as numbers get bigger, this difference decreases. Now imagine that you have $100 and I have $101. I still only have one dollar more than you but because the numbers are larger, I can’t pull my ‘twice as much money’ claim trick. In fact, I only have 1% more money than you.
(101 / 100 ) – 1 = .01.
Move the decimal and you’ll see that 101 is 1% more than 100. And of course, saying ‘I have 1% more money‘ doesn’t sound that impressive.
In both cases, I only had one more dollar but the lower the numbers, the more impressive I can make the difference sound.
Now, in both of these examples, the simpler way to express our financial differences is to say “I have a dollar more than you” or by spelling it all out, such as “I have two dollars and you have one dollar.” The whole bit about ‘twice as much money’ or ‘100% more’ is just a way to obfuscate the truth that I only have one more dollar and it works only when the numbers are low.
Thus ends the math lesson.
This intentional obfuscation is exactly what the Federal Government and the Holder Justice Department did to the people of South Carolina. They used this same mathematical quirk to hide the truth about the actual statistics and the media dutifully repeated the ‘Holder Math’. Unfortunately, the state of South Carolina was also bamboozeled by this simple math game and failed to expose what the Obama DOJ was up to.
Now that you’re armed with the knowledge that the difference between low numbers is exaggerated, let’s set the record straight.

Although it’s being deployed in several states like Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and others, there are still many who have never heard of the Colorado Model. What’s worse, despite all the Left’s bemoaning of the “vast right wing conspiracy,” Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, or whatever enemy they can dream up, there is still nothing like the Colorado Model on the Right.
In sum, the Colorado Model is one of the Left’s most effective stratagems that was “built” to turn “red states” into “blue states” over a very short period of time (with the exception, perhaps, of the 2010 election cycle). When combined with the tactics of Saul Alinsky and his disciples, the Colorado Model is akin to a Soviet platoon armed with AK-47s mowing down a militia armed with slingshots.

Not that this should be surprising since Marxists have been behind and involved with in the #OccupyWallSt movement since Day One when the September protests began, but the Neo-Coms in the unionized #OWS movement are now getting more formal advice from their philosophical mentors, the Communist Party USA.
Of course we're told that the #OWS movement is just a "spontaneous" outpouring of anger by ordinary Americans.

So the hippies are still hunkered down by Wall Street. Like their hero Bill Ayers (aka, President Obama’s terrorist buddy), they are admitted anti-capitalists who want more government-sponsored wealth redistribution, education recognized as a human right, and cradle-to-grave healthcare at no cost to the one receiving the healthcare. In the interests of fairness, its only proper that we share the demands of the OWS so our readers may make their own decisions regarding the validity of the accusations being leveled against they. (No that's not a typo. All the accusations begin with the word "They")
That’s right, regardless of the claims to “Occupy Wall Street” in order to protest alleged financial wrong-doing (which is just leftist jargon for “shame on you for making a profit”), the real impetus because the gathering of these dirty hippies is union-sponsored socialism. And President Obama is encouraging it. McGinniss revealed in an e-mail in January 2011 that Random House lawyers had informed him–after all of that “extensive-on-the-ground reporting in Alaska, as well as in-depth interviews”–that his manuscript contained nothing beyond “tawdry gossip,” and that his most “salacious stories” lacked “factual evidence.”
Yesterday, McGinniss told Mediaite: “My reporting continued beyond the date of the email.” In an attempt to prove that claim, he has released e-mails to Weigel showing his correspondence with prostitute Shailey Tripp, as he attempted to substantiate his claim that “Todd had sex with a hooker.”But the new emails only highlight McGinniss’s decision not to include allegations about a “hooker” in the published book. They do not show why McGinniss chose to include almost every other allegation in The Rogue about which he had admitted in January that there was no “factual evidence.” McGinniss omits any emails relating to those claims

Many scholars believe our founding fathers envisioned America being the land of the free based off a very unique principle; free will. What this means is that men and women have the “free will” to choose based off their own morally driven social and cultural ideologies between right and wrong without any constraints. The oldest script depicting the truest and most pure sense of “free will” can be found in the Christian Bible. What is right for one person is not necessarily the same as what is right for another though, making the concept even more complex.
As long as you don't criticize a religion for being misogynistic, violent and barbaric you can pretty much do whatever you want.
