Keep your ass off the interstate median strips. Not only is it dangerous, it is absolutely illegal for private citizens to place signs on interstate right-of-ways.
Now go back and remove that Cuccinelli sign from the median strip on 295 at the Mechanicsville exit. Be careful.

On page 425 it says in black and white that EVERYONE on Social Security, (will include all Senior Citizens and SSI people) will go to MANDATORY counseling every 5 years to learn and to choose from ways to end your suffering (and your life). Health care will be denied based on age. 500 Billion will be cut from Seniors healthcare. The only way for that to happen is to drastically cut health care, the oldest and the sickest will be cut first. Paying for your own care will not be an option.

Yes, that's what patients want their doctors to do. But Emanuel wants doctors to look beyond the needs of their patients and consider social justice, such as whether the money could be better spent on somebody else.
That's why they want Docs to be government employees instead of your privately-hired professional.

Back in 2004, I noted the disbelief that greets me "when I explain that the Islamist goal is to take over the United States and replace the Constitution with the Koran." Five years later, it`s still the case, with most Americans incredulous at such an intention.

So, I thank (1) the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization (on which, see Zeyno Baran, Hizb ut-Tahrir: Islam`s Political Insurgency) for holding a forthright conference yesterday and

(2) Steven Emerson`s Investigative Project on Terrorism for attending the event and reporting on it.

IPT begins by setting the scene:
Nearly 300 people packed the Grand Ballroom of the Hilton Hotel [in Oak Lawn, Illinois, near Chicago] for its Khalifah Conference on "The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam" to listen to HT ideologues blame capitalism for World War I and World War II; the U.S. subprime mortgage meltdown; the current violence in Iraq and Afghanistan; world poverty and malnutrition and inner-city drug use. …

Security at the conference was very tight.

Oak Lawn police maintained a checkpoint outside the Hilton, and local police and HT`s own security people had a substantial presence inside the hotel. In the ballroom where the conference took place, men and women were largely segregated, with men in the front and women in the back.

One speaker, identified as Imam Jaleel Abdul Razek, engaged in the following dialogue with an unidentified member of the audience on the subject of which law should rule in the United States:
Audience member: "Would you get rid of the Constitution for Shariah, yes or no?"
Abdul Razek: "Over the Muslim world? Yes, it [the Constitution] would be gone."
Audience Member: "And so, if the United States was a Muslim world, the Constitution would be gone?"
Abdul Razek: "If the United States was in the Muslim world, the Muslims who are here would be calling and happy to see the Shariah applied, yes we would."
Audience Member: "And the Constitution gone. That`s all."
Abdul Razek: "Yes, as Muslims they would be long gone."

Got Birth Certificate?

To the members of the Virginia Congressional Delegation,

I want to know why our elected representatives, specifically YOU, are remaining silent regarding the question of our present Pretender to the Presidency, Barrack Hussein Obama’s eligibility under Article II, Section 1 of the U. S. Constitution. Surely you have heard about it! Seen the billboards? Maybe even received a letter or two from your constituents?

I understand why the main stream media is silent. They are bought and paid for by the far left and the Obama administration. But why you? I will give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume that you don’t have your hands in the same pockets as the media. So what is it? Are you afraid? If so, of whom are you afraid? Obama? If you are afraid of anybody, it should be the people who elected you, the people you swore to represent at the same time you swore to uphold the Constitution, the people who have the power to remove you from your office in the next election.

WHERE IS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE? And don’t tell me it was published on the Internet. That IS NOT a Birth Certificate. That is a “Certificate of Live Birth”, (And it reported to be a forgery anyway.), and is a totally different document. Anybody, from anywhere in the world, can go to a court house in Hawaii with a live child in tow, born ANYWHERE in the world, and obtain such a certificate.

All a Certificate of Live Birth documents is that the child was born alive. It DOES NOT say where, at what hospital, who the delivering physician was or anything else that would establish that child as a “Natural Born Citizen of The United States of America”. WHERE IS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

Why has Obama spent over a million dollars fighting the release of his Birth certificate, along with his college records, (which I have strong reason to believe would show that he received financial aid as a “FOREIGN STUDENT”.), as well as his passport used to travel “back home” to Africa while attending school here in America?

Why did the U. S. Army back down and “revoke” the orders of U. S. Army Colonel Stefan Frederick Cook instead of deploying him to Afghanistan after he challenged the legitimacy of the orders due to the questionable status of the present Pretender to the Presidency, Barrack Hussein Obama? If Obama has nothing to hide, then why is he hiding that document? WHERE IS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

Have you not seen the petitions signed by hundreds of thousands of Americans asking “WHERE IS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE”? How dare you and the other so-called “representatives of the people” ignore our demands? And get this right. It is not a “request”. It is a “DEMAND”. We want this question put to rest once and for all.

If in fact, as I have come to believe because of the continued fight by Obama to keep these records secret, he is NOT ELIGIBLE TO HOLD THE OFFICE OF POTUS, then the longer this charade continues, the worse the situation becomes. Every Bill he signs, every Executive Order he drafts and ever Czar he appoints, becomes INVALID! The mess he is creating, if ineligible to hold the office, becomes worse with every passing day. Untangling this mess becomes a bigger and bigger problem the longer it is allowed to grow. “We The People” DEMAND an answer to the question of his eligibility to hold the office. WHERE IS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

As my representatives, I demand that you raise your voice in this matter. I demand that both Republicans and Democrats “represent” the people who elected them, and DEMAND on our behalf that Obama produce the document needed to settle this question. What are you all afraid of? The truth? Do you not realize that “The Truth” and ONLY “The Truth” is all that “We The People” want? It is all that we will accept.

If you or Obama think this will just go away, you are sadly mistaken. If we can not get our elected “representatives” to REPRESENT US, then we will continue though the courts. We will exercise our right to assembly, our right to petition the government, our right to free speech. We will use the same tactics as the far left groups use, and march in the streets of Washington, and protest the fact that our questions are not being answered.

You and all the rest “on the hill” would do well to remember these words. “…Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just Powers from the CONSENT OF THE GOVERNED, that whenever any Form of Government becomes DESTRUCTIVE OF THESE ENDS, it is the RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO ALTER OR ABOLISH IT, and to institute new Government..."

One way or the other, we will have that which we DEMAND. The Truth! We will have a POTUS who has proven that he or she is eligible to hold the office. We will have “Representatives” who actually REPRESENT us.

I suggest that you align yourself with “The People”, and do that which we have asked.

Again, all we want to know is WHERE IS THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?

His results: "he estimates that total attendance at Tea Parties this year approaches 2 million, at least half at events held before July 4."

2 million. Hmmmm, wonder how many it takes for the press and the parties to take the TEA Party movement seriously?

A million here, A million there, pretty soon, we're talking about serious amounts.....

Sarah the Sinner

Sarah Palin is a sinner. She has violated several commandments and thoroughly deserves the savage beating that she is now getting from political mandarins and media elites.

If it were not for one simple fact, I would say she was through in politics.

And that fact is that if the Republicans were picking a nominee today, they would pick Sarah Palin. No? Don't believe me? Who would beat her?

Tim Pawlenty? Bobby Jindal? Haley Barbour? Mike Huckabee? Mitt Romney?

All of these men might build credible, attractive, even powerful political operations by 2012. But right now? Today?

Today, Sarah Palin would be the winner, because more than anyone else, she has won over the hearts and minds of the Republican rank and file. (And tell me that a Sarah Palin-Newt Gingrich ticket would not set conservative hearts aflutter.)

She has done this by sinning, however.

Let us list just some of the political commandments she has recently violated:

Thou shalt not surprise the media. Palin announces she is quitting her job as governor of Alaska, and she catches everybody by surprise. What is up with that? Where were the leaks and the trial balloons? Why weren't the media alerted so they could have predicted it? When you do what the media have predicted, you are "savvy." You are a "skilled" and "adept" politician. If you surprise the media, however, you are "out of control" and "bizarre" and even "egotistical." (Though I have always believed that accusing politicians of being egotistical is like accusing ballerinas of dancing on their toes.)

How badly do some in the media take to surprise? Here is CNN's Rick Sanchez on Palin's announcement that she was leaving office prematurely:
"Is there anything going on with her that perhaps may lead her to want to make this decision, and the one thing that's still left out there is, hey, could she be pregnant again?" Sanchez asked.

Could be, Rick. Or maybe it was just her time of month, because, hey, that's why woman politicians make the decisions they do, right? But you can see why some in the media were shocked and dismayed. Imagine abandoning your office!

Imagine quitting and deserting the voters who elected you! Though this is what Bob Dole did in 1996, didn't he? Dole resigned his Senate seat to run for president. I remember it. I was standing right there when he did it. And I don't recall anybody accusing him of being a quitter. Or of being pregnant.

Thou shalt not upset the pooh-bahs. The Republican Party likes to nominate the next guy in line. John McCain in 2008, George W. Bush in 2000 and Bob Dole in 1996 were all the next guys in line. They had "earned" their place in the party hierarchy. (Or, in the case of George W. Bush, his father had earned it for him.)

Today, it is hard to see who the next guy in line is, but the party mandarins, the pooh-bahs, are agreed on one thing: Sarah Palin ain't it. She is a dumb hick, a nobody from nowhere. She hunts moose with a chainsaw from the back of a snowmobile or something. Just listen to her resignation speech. It was not slick or polished or written by somebody else. She appeared to deliver it off the top of her head as if she were a real person. What a doofus!

Doesn't she know that the highest form of political communication today is to exactly regurgitate a speech written for you by a speechwriter who has crafted, vetted and polled every phrase, line and word?

But listen to Palin. Listen to how "rambling" and "disjointed" she is. Once upon a time in American politics, this was known as being "plain-spoken," but that time has gone. An entire industry of political consultants has grown up to make sure politicians are never plain-spoken.

Sarah Palin does not get this. Which is to say she is not very bright. (Or else she is pregnant, in which case, I apologize.)

Thou shalt pander to the few, not speak to the many. John Weaver, a former McCain aide, told Adam Nagourney of The New York Times that Sarah Palin now has little chance of ever becoming the party's presidential nominee. "Somebody has to explain to Republicans how this woman is going to expand her support base," Weaver said. "Yes, she is the darling of a certain element of our party. But it remains to be seen - in fact, it remains rather doubtful she can grow beyond that."

She is the "darling of a certain element" of Republicans? It seems to me that with the party collapsing to its most conservative core, that "certain element" could also be called the majority of the Republican Party. But maybe that is not enough. It is only a "certain element" of the party that finds her energizing, fresh, tough and willing to stand up to the mandarins and the media.

Clearly, Palin must "grow" beyond that base to win over ... whom? The McCain wing of the Republican Party? Find it, and maybe she can win it over. Having said all this, I do not think Palin is being crazy like a fox. I don't think she has planned out what she will do in 2012.

I think she has quit her job, is doing what she wants to do and is reserving judgment about her future. In doing so, she has made herself an outcast to the mandarins, the pooh-bahs and the elites.

So how can she go wrong?

"The truth is, we and everyone else misread the economy," Biden told me during our exclusive "This Week" interview in Iraq.

Biden acknowledged administration officials were too optimistic earlier this year when they predicted the unemployment rate would peak at 8 percent as part of their effort to sell the stimulus package. The national unemployment rate has ballooned to 9.5 percent in June -- the worst in 26 years.
"The truth is, there was a misreading of just how bad an economy we inherited," said Biden, who is leading the administration's effort to implement it's $787 billion economic stimulus plan.
"Now, that doesn't -- I'm not -- it's now our responsibility. So the second question becomes, did the economic package we put in place, including the Recovery Act, is it the right package given the circumstances we're in? And we believe it is the right package given the circumstances we're in," he told me.
The vice president argued more time is needed for the stimulus to work.
"We misread how bad the economy was, but we are now only about 120 days into the recovery package," he said. "The truth of the matter was, no one anticipated, no one expected that that recovery package would in fact be in a position at this point of having to distribute the bulk of money."
Biden didn't rule out a second government stimulus package, but downplayed calls from Nobel Prize-winning economist Paul Krugman this week that a second stimulus will be needed.
I pressed the vice president, who is also leading the administration's middle-class task force, on whether he'd rule out a second stimulus package.
"So, no second stimulus?" I asked.
"No, I didn't say that," Biden said, "I think it's premature to make that judgment. This was set up to spend out over 18 months. There are going to be major programs that are going to take effect in September, $7.5 billion for broadband, new money for high-speed rail, the implementation of the grid -- the new electric grid. And so this is just starting, the pace of the ball is now going to increase."

The Purina Diet

(I'm sure you've all seen this at least once but its a slow day, its raining and I've lost my ID.)

Yesterday I was at my local COSTCO buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog and was in the checkout line when woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had, an elephant?

So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's ass and a car hit us both.

22nd Amendment Repeal - Obama campaign site

EMERGENCY! URGENT ACTION NEEDED! CRISIS!

Seems like this is a standard now.

Here's a self-professed bi-partisan site with this tagline:
END22.com was founded by a group of ordinary Americans: Democrats, Republicans and Independents, who found common ground in their belief that the Twenty-Second Amendment must be repealed.
Sounds like a nice independent group. Its not. In fact, at one time I felt this way. The 22nd Amendment was a power grab by Congress. FDR scared the crap out of them, to put it bluntly. Now, to equal the playing field, we need term limits. Limit everyone to the same number of terms as the President.

Let's see what all the fuss is about:
If we pause, if we take time to reflect, if we wait to see how well our President does, we will, in all likelihood, lose the option of electing him in 2016. The END22.com movement is not about making sure President Obama is re-elected in 2016 - it is about making sure the people have the right to make the best choice in 2016.
Now why don't I believe that last line.......perhaps its this picture:
And the fact that every tab on the site gets listed in the tool bar as Obma's Third Term/End22/Repeal the 22nd Amendment. Do you notice that everything has to be done NOW? And I love that first line, no time to see how Obama does, we HAVE TO RE-ELECT HIM.

This site was started on INAUGURATION DAY!
The site is equating Obama with FDR , wait, let THEM say it:
During the last Great Crisis Franklin Delano Roosevelt led America out of the Great Depression and through World War II. Today, Barack Obama leads us through the worst Economic Crisis since the Great Depression and leads the War on Terror.
No mention that he was opposed to the War on Terror and its policies. No mention that his policies are bankrupting the country. At least they have one thing right. Obama is similar to FDR since both had polices that worsened their respective recessions.

This entire site is a love letter to Obama. Its not a grassroots, Constitutional group. Its more like a campaign site. There is no list of who is behind the site. Not. One. Single. Name. Their FAQ and About Us sections do nothing but guide the visitor to "membership levels." Of course, all money will be used to finance their community, spread their message, and lobby Congress. No mention of the percentage of the money being spent on "administration costs." And since this is a self-professed lobby group, is it properly registered? Who is running the show?

No wonder Obama sided with the tyrants when Honduras removed their President that wanted to steal another term.

Waxman-Markey = EPIC FAIL

The Cap and Trade Bill. Waxman-Markey Bill. H.R. 2454. American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. The Pile of Shit.

By any name, the bill is STILL a failure. Global warming will not be affected. Neither will CO2. And our industries will flee the country.

And here is the proof:

India Rejects Any Greenhouse-Gas Cuts Under New Climate Treaty
India said it will reject any new treaty to limit global warming that makes the country reduce greenhouse-gas emissions because that will undermine its energy consumption, transportation and food security.
At the Bonn Talks:
Yvo de Boer, the UN climate change chief, said that a worldwide pact to prevent global warming was “physically impossible”.
China and Japan won't play along

China will not make a binding commitment to reduce carbon emissions, putting in jeopardy the prospects for a global pact on climate change.

Officials from Beijing told a UN conference in Bonn yesterday that China would increase its emissions to develop its economy rather than sign up to mandatory cuts …

Hopes that Copenhagen might deliver tougher carbon reduction targets were dashed further when Japan failed to make a significant commitment to reduce emissions.
At Pelosi's meeting in China - Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-WI):(emphasis mine)

He point-blank asked the Premier and other high officials if they were going to participate in whatever “process” comes out of the big Copenhagen meeting (the successor to Kyoto) in December; he was told by everyone of whom he asked that question that: No, China would not be signing on to any agreements in Copenhagen - they instead plan to set up their own standards and do things their own way. Whatever “mechanisms” come out of Copenhagen, it is clear that China, India, and many other countries simply will be opting not to participate.

Rep. Sensenbrenner’s main fear vis-a-vis the official United States participation in the Copenhagen discussions is that we will sign agreements merely for the sake of signing. (Gotta do SOMETHING! YOU CAN'T WASTE A CRISIS!)

This bill is an economic unilateral disarmament treaty. Not only is it going to destroy the coal industry, raise energy prices, force industry transfer off-shore, but, its going to let the Chinese build yet more things that we use. Our dollar is going to tank even farther.

Its going to be so bad that, even though we'll have massive amounts of cheap labor available, no one will be able to use that labor to build stuff in THIS country.

Besides, if China cuts emissions, who's going to build those millions of mercury-filled "energy-saver" bulbs?

There is no evidence for CO2 based global warming.

Let’s break down the case for human-caused global warming logically:

1) There is plenty of evidence that global warming has been occurring recently.
2) There is ample evidence that carbon emissions causes warming and that the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide is increasing.
3) But there is no evidence that carbon dioxide emissions are the main cause of the recent global warming.

The alarmists focus you entirely on the first two points, to distract you from the third.
Climatologist slams warming myths.
Climatologist Dr. Roger Pielke Sr. publicly rebuked the website in a June 30, 2009 article for “erroneously communicating the reality of the how the climate system is actually behaving.”

In his article titled “Real Climate’s Misinformation”, Pielke also chastised readers of Real Climate for blindly accepting the incorrect climate claims promoted on the site. “Media and policymakers who blindly accept these claims are either naive or are deliberately slanting the science to promote their particular advocacy position,...”

And my favorite....I just wish that it would be read aloud by Senator Boehner.......

On the House Vote. Here are some juicy parts.....

The supporters have uniformly been delusional imbeciles, talking about a shiny future, added jobs, reduced deficits, and saving the world. They have clearly no idea what’s written in the bill and even if you told them, they wouldn’t understand what it would mean. They’re not capable of an elementary mental activity.

For a comparison, a pretty good bill called the U.S. Constitution originally had four pages and it allowed a great country to work well for 230+ years. Those four pages are somewhat less than 1500+ pages whose only purpose is to allow one particular green tumor to thrive for a few years, before it dies of hunger.

AFP Update on Cap and Trade

Last week we had an unbelievably tight, down-to-the-wire fight in the U.S. House of Representatives over the massive Waxman-Markey cap-and-trade energy tax bill, the largest tax hike in American history and an unprecedented intrusion of the federal government into our economy and our lives.


Thank you so much for everything you did to give the side of economic sanity a fighting chance. Your calls and emails made a huge difference, and AFP members like you were clearly one of the driving forces last week.


We weren’t quiet able to win in the House (see how they voted here), but we’re confident that if we can keep educating and mobilizing regular common-sense Americans, we can beat this disastrous bill in the Senate.
Here are few reasons to be hopeful:

* Just two states, California (32) and New York (25) provided more than a quarter of the 219 total yes votes

* Democrats in several key targeted Senate states voted majority no, including Indiana (3 of 5), Arkansas (2 of 3), and West Virginia (2 of 2)

* Earl Pomeroy of North Dakota, Stephanie Herseth Sandlin of South Dakota, both statewide elected Democrats, vote no

Unfortunately, we also learned that the White House is willing to do anything to get this bill passed, including misleading and intimidating members. That means the Senate fight will be right down to the wire, and pressure from back home will be the only way to stop this from passing.

We also know the stakes, in the President’s own words:"Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."There is no time to waste, so I’m asking you to please click here to send a strong message to your Senators to oppose this outrageous cap-and-trade bill.

A round up of opinions on just one horrible mandate of the bill: Mandatory energy audits because of a National building code that OVERRIDES state and local codes. Now, how did the federal government get the power to do that? States that don't bend over and comply with the big bosses in DC won't get their share of the "sugar." "Sugar" that we don't have and that the states have been able to live without until now.

From a fellow Virginian: Blake Yount at the Norfolk Examiner: (emphasis mine)
"...the bill stipulates that state codes match the national codes, or the said state codes will be nullified, and states will lose federal funding and carbon allowances. Remember, in this new world of cap and trade, the federal government has the authority to "allow" businesses within a state or community to conduct operations and emit carbon. Thus, millions of private sector jobs would be politicized under cap and trade. This type of politicization can only be found throughout history in societies governed by tyrants."
Real Estate Blog:
"The bill forces sellers to have an energy inspection prior to being able to sell their home. Windows, appliances and insulation will have to be inspected and approved by a government inspector and modifications would have to be made for compliance before you can close the sale."

John Boehner gives us his take on this "pile of shit."

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

I can't seem to find the authorization for these powers that Congress is seizing for themselves anywhere in my copy of the Constitution. Where in that document does it allow the Federal Government to pick and choose which industries fail and which prosper?(Yes, I know. No industries will prosper.)

DC should not be allowed to run roughshod over the rights of the states and the people. The States should not be subservient to the federal government except where that is specifically described in the Constitution.

When states stop being whores for our tax money, perhaps we might regain some freedom.
