Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska announced yesterday that she is resigning and will not seek a second term as governor. Many conservatives are characterizing this as an abdication of responsibility and a failure of will.

Quin Hillyer wrote in the American Spectator that "Sarah Palin's resignation is an appalling dereliction of duty and a highly cynical move to set herself up for a presidential run for which she is manifestly unqualified."

I vehemently disagree. She did not quit. From what I saw of her speech before Fox inexplicably cut it off (after seven days of wall-to-wall Michael Jackson coverage), this is not a woman who is retiring or "cutting and running," as Hillyer put it.

She is getting into the fight to save America. Palin committed herself to fighting "for our state and our country, and campaign(ing) for those who believe in smaller government, free enterprise, strong national security, support for our troops and energy independence."

Obama's treasonous presidency has made this struggle necessary.

Palin, like all patriotic Americans, is shocked by what is happening.

Obama is destroying this country. She knows it. We all know it. We need a leader.

Palin is that leader.

On Friday she assumed the mantle. She delivered a campaign speech. She spoke on the eve of Independence Day about the sacrifices great Americans have made, and what our Founding Fathers fought and died for.

Without naming Obama, she went after his disastrous policies, saying that "living beyond our means today is irresponsible for tomorrow," and noting that as governor she had "vetoed debt-ridden stimulus dollars." She believes in and wants to fight for free enterprise, small government and national security.

The Palin camp has issued a statement decrying rumors of a Palin divorce being spread by Alaskan CNN stringer Dennis Zaki, sourced to an anonymous Anchorage blogger and the National Enquirer.

Let's understand this. CNN won't touch the birth certificate issue, the Rezko/Auchi corruption, Obama's anti-semitism, his ACORN/SEIU ties and corruption and other legitimate stories that need investigation.

But they write fiction about Palin.

Daily.

So why not tell the truth about Obama and his reported strange sexual predilections?

My question is, it is well known that Obama allegedly was involved with a crack whore in his youth. Very seedy stuff. Why aren't they pursuing that story? Find the ho, give her a show! Obama trafficked in some very deviant practices. Where's the investigation?

He spent three weeks in Pakistan in his college days at Occidental in 1981. WTF was he doing in Pakistan in 1981? In 1979 Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was hanged in Pakistan and the military ruler Zia Ul-Haq enacted the controversial Hudood Ordinance, which was intended to implement Islamic Shari'a law, by enforcing punishments mentioned in the Quran.

Back in the early 80's, there were only two reasons to travel to Pakistan. Jihad or drugs. I think he went for the drugs and came back with jihad. (He did, after all, change his name to Barack Hussein Obama from Barry Soetoro, upon his return from that trip).

When Sarah Palin gets the nomination in 2012, I hope she has the good sense to pick Pam Geller as her campaign press spokesperson, and then when she wins the election, Ms. Geller can be the press secratary. I miss the class acts we had with Tony Snow and Dana Perino and Ms Geller would definitely be a class act.

Her speech embodied what a great American sounds like, and what a President ought to sound like. Palin made no apologies. She said nothing like Obama's inane drone of "America's best days are behind us." No tearing down of our nation. Obama ranks on us; Palin raises us up and speaks of national pride.

First and foremost, she thanked our brave men and women defending this great nation and ripped the media, warning: "You represent what could and should be a
respected, honest profession that could and should be a cornerstone of our democracy. Democracy depends on you, and that is why, that's why our troops are willing to die for you. So, how about, in honor of the American soldier, you quit makin' things up?

She briefly outlined her plans for real energy independence -- American resources for Americans -- speaking of commercializing our clean natural gas (AGIA) as the first private sector energy project in the history of America. Palin believes (and rightly so) that the pressing issue of our time is energy independence.

"There is," she said, "an inherent link between energy and prosperity...We will prove you can be pro-development and pro-environment because no one loves their clean air, and their land, and their wildlife more than an Alaskan. We will protect it!" She invoked America's pioneering spirit. She urged us to resist enslavement to big central government: "Be wary of accepting government largess."

Sarah Palin embodies what an American is. She is what Washington, Jefferson, and Franklin envisioned when they carved out the American idea. Anyone who wants write her off, proceed at your own risk.

The low state of the world is a fact, but so are great Americans who will fight tooth and nail to stop what Obama is doing to America.

Clear thinking Americans see what is happening. America is being tested in a way she never has been before. The President has in every decision reinforced the impression that he is a radical, even a communist/Islamist: the usurpation of the Constitution, the bankrupting of our nation, the illegal grab of private wealth, the infiltration of Islamic supremacism, the abandonment of our allies, the weakening of our military.

It's stunning.

Sarah Palin sees it, too.

Smart, sharp, patriotic, she best represents the majority of Americans. Not Obama's shills in the press, not the chattering elites and the Beltway insiders, but Americans.

Paul Kanjorski of Pennsylvania explains how the Federal Reserve told Congress members about a "tremendous draw-down of money market accounts in the United States, to the tune of $550 billion dollars." According to Kanjorski, this electronic transfer occured over the period of an hour or two.

"On Thursday Sept 15, 2008 at roughly 11 AM The Federal Reserve noticed a tremendous draw down of money market accounts in the USA to the tune of $550 Billion dollars in a matter of an hour or two.

Money was being removed electronically. The treasury tried to help with $105 Billion. But could not stem the tide. It was an electronic run on the bank. The treasury intervened but had they not closed down the accounts they estimated that by 2 PM that afternoon. Within 3 hours. $5.5 Trillion would have been withdrawled and collapsed and within 24 hours the world economy."

If there were withdrawals of that magnitude, is there a record of where it went? WHO withdrew the money? And notice the timing? Was it on purpose, to influence the election?

Is there anyone out there that has professed that the US has to become more socialist AND has that kind of power and money? Has anything similar happened before? Could it be that someone has a vested interest in the devaluation of the dollar? Trillions in spending will certainly do that....

Is there anyone else out there that might have this kind of money AND wish to have more favorable political climate within which to operate?

Is Obama Getting Donations From Outside the US?

There was an email circulating that proported to show a link to online political campaign contributions to Obama from foreign sources. Tha email has obstensibly been discredited as fraudulent, and was a conglomeration of columns from the red-headed beast Maureen Dowd, no friend of conservative causes.

But it brings up an interesting theory. How has this newcomer, this no-name third rate Senator from Illinois managed to amass such a large war-chest from online donations?

Pam Geller, at Atlas Shrugs, the genuis who had Obama's birth certificate verified as a complete forgery, has done some more good work towards exposing the threat of foreign money in US elections.

She has some good information here, here, and here.

This link will take you to a full page of other links with enough information about questionable activities by the Obama campaign to make you wonder how he got so far so fast. The answer of course, is a complicit media whose agenda is decidely socialist in nature.

This is serious business, folks. Not since envelopes full of cash and cashier's checks were passed out in the White House during the klintoon comedy festival, has the threat to this country's most sacred institution and the right of Americans to decide our own fate, been more serious. The internet has provided us a way to share information and disseminate news on an unprecedented scale. However, it has also provided the means to accumulate large chunks of cash virtually untraceable.

NO ONE who is NOT an American citizen has the right to contribute to an election campiagn, Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, or other. All contrbutions must and should be accounted for and documented.
