It Is Now Time For America To Find the Resolve To Defeat Islamo-fascism

Anything less will be unacceptable. Anything less will be a victory for the extremists, for they will most-assuredly never stop killing infidels, and they will continue to teach their children that dying for Allah is a most noble death if you kill an infidel or non-believer in the process.

Their goal is nothing less than world-domination. They recognize no other religion. No other religion will be allowed to exist. Non-Muslims who are allowed to live will cease to be human in the eyes of the Caliph. They will be less than cattle.

Fredom of religion does not exist in Islam. There is only one religion and Isalm is it. All others are devil-worship. Free will cannot exist under Islam. Free will implies that a person is free to make a decision. Islam does not allow that, as practiced by extremists. Convert or die, or in some cases, convert and then they will kill you, because they are safe in the knowledge that you might be welcomed into the arms of Allah.

The system of government which allows us the choice to believe or not believe, cannot exist within the framework of Islam. Isalm must prevail over the government and the laws of men.

Isalm is one of those oppressive, reppressive forms of religion our Founding Fathers left England because of.

Resolve to Win Day 11

First things first:
I have been contacting radio stations and TV stations left and right getting the word out about this event. A huge HOOOAH to Doc Thompson on WRVA for allowing Major Heerup the opportunity to speak to the folks in central Virginia today.
I have some serious issues, however, with the way this event has been portrayed over the airways. The news reports this morning on WRVA used the term "pro-war" in its reports.
Nothng could be further from the truth.
NO ONE CONNECTED TO THIS EVENT IS PRO WAR!!!
We are pro-military, pro-America, and last but not least;
WE ARE PRO-VICTORY!!!!!! WE MUST WIN THIS ONE!!!!!

Now I'm better.

I had the distinct honor and privilege of dinner and fellowship with this hearty Band of Brothers tonight. My wife joined us after she went home and took care of the dog, the mail, etc etc.
I caught up with them this morning at Dutch Gap as they made their way up Jeff Davis Highway. I met up with them again at the end of the day north of Richmond on US Rt 1 at Virginia Center Commons. Since they were less than a mile from my house, I felt a certain obligation to make their brief stay as pleasant as possible. They are, after all, guests in "my hood".

Major McCool and Major Heerup are class acts of the highest order. (In fact, ALL of the folks involved in this effort are class acts.) They have walked 280 miles in 11 days to show their resolve and to demonstrate that we as Americans must show the same resolve to win the fight in Iraq and bring stability to the people who live there.
We have an obligation to the people of Iraq to maintain order while they go about the delicate process of establishing rules of order and some semblance of a functioning government.
How long will this take? Well, as Major Heerup so brilliantly pointed out the other night in his post on the RTW blog:

How long has the U.S. Congress, with over 200 year’s experience, been trying to resolve health care issues and social security stabilization in a stable nation which has relatively little animosity among its ethic and religious groups?
How long should it take the Iraqi Council of Representatives, with three year’s experience, to establish a federal system, set up the provincial and municipal governments, reform its economy from a command-type to a free-market type, develop an entire social security system (not just old-age), rebuild a nation devastated by war, neglect, and insurgency, establish international relations with the world, etc., etc., in a nation where distrust and animosity are so deep as to have caused bombings, murders, and other violence?

OK Who is In and Who Is Out?

I'm talking about Saturday morning in North Carolina. 12 miles south of the State line in Halifax, NC. We need some people on the ground, and we need some people to welcome these 4 hardy souls to the Old Dominion in true Southern fashion when they take the first step into our fair Commonwealth.
Don't make me do this alone. Bubba has been there since they crossed into NC and I want to take the lead in this for the first part of the walk in Virginia.
So, get up, get dressed, get breakfast, and for those of you with my cell number, call me when you need some directions or time frames. I'll be there at 0600, give or take a speeding ticket.

Looking for some help from the Richmond people. You know who you are. If you cant make it, you can listen to the Lee Brothers on Saturday morning for the call-in.

Come on, guys. Lets show these Patriots how we really feel about winning the Global War on Terror and giving the Iraqi people the same opportunities we enjoy.

It is truly time to "walk the walk".

Resolve to Win Day 3

Updates at my site or the RTW Blog.

Major Heerup says Bubba is scruffy.

Lt Col. Marc Breslow posted this as part of his profile:

I am participating in the Resolve to Win March effort for two reasons, first to support my comrades from Iraq. The second reason is more complicated.

After 9-11, I personally felt my 26 years of service had been a failure because we had not prevented an attack on the US. After participation in the OIF from 2006-2007, I again gained a sense of victory and success. We are achieving many goals in Iraq and definitely can win the campaign. Our soldiers deserve the nations support and they deserve the victory that is achievable. People must stand up and insure our political leadership demonstrates the same dedication and fortitude...

I am a Life member of the VFW an Annual member of the AM Legion, a Life member of the AMVETS and a Life member of the 82nd Abn Division Association.

Resolve to Win Day 2

The Resolve to Win Walk made it through Day 2 with minor blisters and sore muscles. Ya gotta admire the determination of these men. Retired veterans who had more than paid their dues. They could have laid back, taken it easy and no one would have said a thing. Instead they chose to give a little more to insure the safety of our Nation.
Now they're asking you to give just a little time.

Media coverage here.

From the blog:
Started at 0730hrs with another beautiful NC day. Perfect weather for walking with a perfect second day in the making. NC folks are just wonderful. We gave out even more flags today than the first day. At 0830AM as we were leaving Lumberton, Mr. Lewis Bruce approached our Marchers and handed us a check for $50 to support our effort. As we passed through another town an anonymous donor (lady) walked up and gave us $20 and her thanks for our effort to support the troop and victory in Iraq. Perhaps THE BEST, a little boy walked over and handed Carl Heerup 75 cents (three quarters) and said “Thank You”. My day was just paid for. I
am not “cheap” or “easy” but I can be had by the love of a child. It is exactly for that little boy, that we do not want to have to be in our military in 15 years fighting TODAY’S enemy.
