Resolve to Win Day 2

The Resolve to Win Walk made it through Day 2 with minor blisters and sore muscles. Ya gotta admire the determination of these men. Retired veterans who had more than paid their dues. Started at 0730hrs with another beautiful NC day. Perfect weather for walking with a perfect second day in the making. NC folks are just wonderful. We gave out even more flags today than the first day. At 0830AM as we were leaving Lumberton, Mr. Lewis Bruce approached our Marchers and handed us a check for $50 to support our effort. As we passed through another town an anonymous donor (lady) walked up and gave us $20 and her thanks for our effort to support the troop and victory in Iraq. Perhaps THE BEST, a little boy walked over and handed Carl Heerup 75 cents (three quarters) and said “Thank You”. My day was just paid for. I
