On Saturday 4 June at the Wal-mart Supercenter in Short Pump, Virginia, CWTT and Bubba Burger will team up to help WRVA reach its goal

CWTT will be cooking Bubba Burgers and burger-brawts
(I had the same reaction. I am assured they are delicious)

The food is free but we will be accepting donations and selling cooking with the troops’ homemade BBQ sauce

Half the money raised will be donated to the Fisher House

Our BBQ sauce is made right here in Virginia, has no Heinz products, and has been described as:

In addition to Warrior Legacy Foundation and Cooking With the Troops, Inc. volunteering to cook a few lunches for the crews building the patio at Fisher House, United Conservatives is donating $100.00 to the project.

Alright Virginia, here's the deal:

WRVA is running a fundraiser for McGuire Veterans Hospital Fisher House;
Richard McCann wants to build a patio outback for the families who stay there;
Warrior Legacy Foundation and Cooking With the Troops wants to help.

What we need is food. (What we need is funding, which gets the food)

So, from now until the end of May, every quart of BBQ sauce ordered will generate 20 bucks for the Fisher House Project. Links are on the left and yes, WLF is a 501c3.

All orders will ship on 1 June and you will be invited to join us for the free lunch. Keep a copy of your receipt and bring it with you.

Personal Observation:
I remember when Mologne House at Walter Reed didn't have a patio, and now it does, and the difference it has made is remarkable. I would love to see something similar down here, but thats reaching a little far. The patio at Mologne House was a half million dollar project, if it was a dime.
It has built in grills, concrete pavers, three different levels, and a fireplace on the main patio. Class act. We use it when we do our cookouts, and I look forward to every event at Walter Reed.

Top 40 Smokin' Conservative Ladies

WRVA, the 50,000 watt voice for conservative Virginia is currently running a photo montage of the top 40 hottest conservative women, starting with #40 and working down to the #1 spot.

I already have issues with the lineup.

The first 10 are up and I have to say, I already see 3 that should have been in the top ten. Amanda Carpenter, Ashley Herzog and Pam Geller are 10's with a bullet and Barbara Bush has the same facial constuction as Mary Katharine Ham, and as far as I am concerned, if MK is not in the #1 spot, this contest was rigged.

There is no one hotter than MK. I met this young lady, and I know. She is scary smart and is also one of the nicest people you'll ever raise a glass with.

Morning Radio: You Should Listen

Norman Leahy from Tertium Quids is hosting WRVA's morning show. Should make for a good ride to the shipyard in the morning.

So tomorrow's the big day, when I guest host WRVA's morning show from 5AM to 9 AM while that Richmond institution, Jimmy Barrett, gets some well-deserved time off.

While there's plenty of normal news radio fare -- headlines, weather, sports and traffic -- there are a few opportunities for guests to appear.

Warrior Legacy Foundation on WRVA

This morning at 0635 I was interviewed on Jimmy Barrett's morning show on WRVA, regarding the efforts of Warrior Legacy Foundation to help returning vets find employment. It was an honor to be able to speak for WLF and the men and women who helped create this great organization and I want to thank WRVA and Jimmy Barrett for allowing me the time to tell Richmond and the listening audience about Warrior Legacy.

WLF is committed to helping our veterans in any way possible. The jobs effort, Cooking for the Wounded (with Soldiers Angels) and the newest program, When They Come Back, We Give Back, are just the tip of the iceberg. We have more programs underway and in development.
