Democrat Judge Targets Tea Party Group

Democrat Judge Targets Tea Party Group

and the closer we get to election time and GOTV efforts, the more of this we will see. This time, we need to be AWARE, BE VERY AWARE!!

Democrats have reportedly been targeting Tea Party groups for harassment since their emergence in 2010. The Texas-based judge has deep, overt ties to the Democratic Party. Deitz has been labeled “legendary” by Texas Democrats. In 2009, the Travis County Democratic online newsletter wrote that, “Dietz’s knowledge of court history in Travis County runs deep, and so does his commitment to the Democratic Party.” The Tea Party group is being represented by Hiram Sasser of the Liberty Institute, who promises to appeal. Meanwhile, Democrats seem to be pleased with their effort to undermine the group. Others have come to the aid of the Tea Party groups in general in this regard:

Redstate Red Alert

Senator Jeff Sessions is calling on his colleagues to filibuster Judge David Hamilton. Go here and call your Senator. Tell your Senator to oppose cloture on David Hamilton and filibuster his nomination to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Judge Hamilton, a district court judge, is Barack Obama's nominee to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. That very court has cited Judge Hamilton for abusing his power as a judge.

In 1994, the 7th Circuit rebuked Judge Hamilton for denying a Rabbi the right to display a Menorah as part of an Indianapolis holiday display.

In 2005, Judge Hamilton prohibited the Indiana House of Representatives from praying if Jesus's name was mentioned, but said praying in Allah's name was perfectly fine.

He also is one of the most lenient judges in America when it comes to crime and criminals.

In United States v. Rinehart, 2007 U.S. LEXIS 19498 (S.D. Ind. Feb 2, 2007), Judge Hamilton used his opinion to request clemency for a police officer who pled guilty to two counts of child pornography. The 32 year old officer had engaged in "consensual" sex with two teenagers and videotaped his activities.

In United States v. Woolsey, 535 F.3d 540 (7th Cir. 2008), the Seventh Circuit faulted Judge Hamilton for disregarding an earlier conviction in order to avoid imposing a life sentence on a repeat offender.

Call your Senator. Tell your Senator to oppose cloture on Judge Hamilton and support a filibuster.

What To Expect From The Courts For the Next 3 Years

Zero will load the Appeals Courts with activist judges and the Inquisition will commence.

Family Research Council

For Liberals, Hamilton Is 7th Heaven

When President Obama nominated David Hamilton to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, his staff said the selection "is a kind of signal" about the kind of judge this White House is seeking. If that's the case, then the signal must be: left turn ahead!

Judge Hamilton is an anti-faith extremist whose cases are only notable for their blatant religious prejudice. In the suit for which Hamilton is most recognized, the judge struck down 188 years of prayers "in Jesus' Name" to open the Indiana legislature claiming it unconstitutionally "advanced Christianity." It was a decision that was later reversed by the same court to which Hamilton is now nominated -- the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. What Hamilton lacks in Christian tolerance he makes up for in Islamic hospitality.

The judge may have struck prayers in Jesus' name but has welcomed any in Allah's.
As for his interpretation of the law, Hamilton is on record suggesting that America 's judges "writ[e] footnotes to the Constitution." He's ruled against abortion waiting periods and tougher penalties for sex offenders.

The Washington Times warned readers, "This judge is a radical's radical," whose past jobs have included fundraising for ACORN and heading up Indiana 's chapter of the ACLU. Senate leaders are hoping to slip a vote on Hamilton's confirmation past conservatives this week.

Our sources on the Hill tell us that Democrats may be persuaded to postpone the vote if the grassroots make enough noise. You know what that means! Pick up the phone today and call your Senators. Remind them that a vote for Hamilton is a vote for a judicial activist who is committed to driving a political agenda that's out of step with mainstream America. For more ammunition, check out FRC's letter to Senators explaining why we're scoring the bill.

So What Kind of Change Can We Expect?

Family Security Matters

How would Barack Hussein Obama govern if elected to the presidency? With less than one term as a U.S. senator, and with most of that time having been spent running for president, it’s a little hard to say but there are certainly some good indicators. There is no question that Obama is very liberal (the most liberal U.S. senator, based on a National Journal vote ranking). With a voting record in line with folks like John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer et al, an Obama presidency would certainly mean more government “solutions” to our problems. We already have plenty of that now, so the only “change” would be more of the same – except in greater quantities.

What about defending our borders? Millions of illegal aliens are now in this country draining our resources, closing down hospitals that can no longer afford to provide them free treatment, demanding we learn Spanish rather than they learning English, depositing “anchor babies” on our soil who immediately become citizens and “entitled” to gobs of goodies at taxpayer expense. The Bush Administration has done nothing to impede the flow, and it is quite evident Obama – “the agent of change” – will do nothing either. Obama actually agrees with the illegals by the way, and thinks your children should learn Spanish. Sounds like more of the same, only pushed absurdly even further.

What about increasing oil supplies? We could start lifting these restrictions on drilling for our own oil and building refineries, and the price of oil would go down. It has the added benefit of decreasing our dependence on the Middle East. For years, our own government has kept us dependent on OPEC, rather than looking for ways to become self-reliant. Barack Obama is opposed to drilling offshore or in ANWR. Change? Sounds like more of the same to me…

What about out of control judges who legislate from the bench? Courts packed with liberal judges have been pushing liberal causes down our throats for some time now. What types of judges would Obama appoint? He has spoken glowing words of praise for Stephen G. Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David H. Souter. Not exactly my idea of strict constructionists who follow the intent of the constitution. With more of these types being added to federal courts that are already chock full of liberals, we’d be getting, yes – more of the same.
