Breitbart.tv » Palin On Cain: ‘I’m One of His Biggest Fans’

Add me to that list, and I wouldn't mind seeing a Cain/Palin ticket come voting time.

And you can be sure the left will be trotting out the Oreo/Uncle Tom ad hominen attacks on Mr Cain. He is their worst nightmare: a successful black American who is conservative, plain-spoken and did it all without affirmative action or handouts.

Herman Cain is the poster child for the American Dream.

Hey, President Obama: Let's Get More Energy From Canada, Instead Of Sending Our Money To The Middle East

Hey, President Obama: Let's Get More Energy From Canada, Instead Of Sending Our Money To The Middle East

Three years ago, TransCanada proposed the $7 billion Keystone XL pipeline to bring more oil from Canada to the United States. After years of study, the State Department has yet to decide whether or not approve the pipeline. The Keystone XL should be a no-brainer—more jobs and greater access to oil from our closest ally.

Holy crap!!! The EPA and now the State Department!!! This administration doesn't want to help working Americans. They want everyone on the same socio-economic level. Dirt poor.

Canada And The US May Become The Next OPEC

Canada And The US May Become The Next OPEC

With a series of amazing shale oil and natural gas finds in North America, it is now possible (if bureaucrats will allow it) for both Canada and the United States to become energy exporters in the next fifty years. And that reality is being discussed for the first time at the annual meeting of the Pacific Economic Cooperation Council. Asian investors are already investing heavily in North American energy projects, especially Canada’s oil sands.

AP sources: Official resigns over alleged spy ring (OneNewsNow.com)

AP sources: Official resigns over alleged spy ring (OneNewsNow.com)

"After 17 months of DOD investigations and an FBI investigation, it was determined that no criminal laws were broken," Furlong wrote in his August 12 resignation letter, obtained by the Associated Press.

But inquiries continue by the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations and the Pentagon's Defense Criminal Investigative Service, a senior defense official said, speaking on condition of anonymity to discuss matters still under legal review.

The CIA alleged in late 2009 that Furlong's private military contractors were running an illegal covert spying network in Afghanistan and Pakistan, managed by legendary ex-spymaster Duane R. Clarridge. The then-CIA station chief complained those contractors were helping target terrorists for capture and kill operations, and getting in the way of agency operations on the ground, according to multiple U.S. officials briefed on the investigation. All officials spoke anonymously to discuss intelligence matters.

A series of reports by The New York Times first exposed the controversy, leading then-Defense Secretary Robert Gates to order a review. A Defense Department inquiry dated June 2010, obtained by the AP, concluded Furlong's "Information Operations Capstone" had hidden clandestine spying activity beneath layers of legitimate information collection, violating Pentagon policy and leading to the more in-depth investigations.
Seems to me there's some toes being stepped on and CIA is a little miffed.

Uh Oh Boys and Girls She's Baaaaaccccck

From Discover the Networks comes this notice that the anarchists, leftists, marxists, peaceniks, useful idiots, usual suspects and assorted malcontents will be gathering in Washington DC on 6 October for an anti-capitalist rally. The irony of this is, some of these anti-capitalists will be coming by charter bus, the owners of said charter bus being capitalist. If they were dedicated activists, they would all walk to DC and not buy a single item from anyone.

After the jump you can read the roster of revolutionaries scheduled to attend. Of course Susie Q and her merry band of ladies in pink spandex (be still my heart), will be there, as will ANSWER, UFPJ, WCW. As I said previously, the usual suspects, with some new group names thrown in.

More than 150 organizations are scheduled to send representatives to the DC gathering on October 6, including the All-African People's Revolutionary Party, the Backbone Campaign, Code Pink, Food Not Bombs, Global Exchange, the Green Party USA, Healthcare-Now, the International Action Center, International ANSWER, the Middle East Children's Alliance, Movement for a Democratic Society, the Network of Spiritual Progressives, Occupy Wall Street, Pax Christi, Peace Action, Progressive Democrats of America, Sojourners, Tikkun, United for Peace and Justice, Veterans for Peace, the War Resisters League, Women Against Military Madness, the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, and World Can't Wait. Another key supporter of O-2011 is the National Lawyers Guild.

The newly formed “October 2011″ movement will stage its kickoff rally in DC next Thursday. Calling on the U.S. government to end all economic policies “which foster a wealth divide,” this organization vehemently opposes federal spending cuts — favoring instead massive government expenditures for the purpose of “creating jobs.”

Encouraging its members and supporters to pursue “a culture of resistance,” O-2011 selected Washington, DC's Freedom Plaza as the site of its first major Call to Action, scheduled for October 6, 2011. This date was chosen because it marked the tenth anniversary of America's post-9/11 invasion of Afghanistan, and because it represented what O-2011 called “the beginning of the 2012 federal austerity budget”—a reference to a recently passed debt-ceiling bill designed to curb the United States' escalating national debt. Promoting the October 6 event as a “nonviolent resistance similar to the Arab Spring and the Midwest awakening,” O-2011 has pledged to “resist the corporate machine” and to “demand that America's resources be invested in human needs and environmental protection instead of war and exploitation.”

Allen-Kaine AP Debate Doesn't Serve the People

Condescending politicians bore me. Blatant hypocrisy irritates my very last nerve.

The AP has excluded at least two viable candidates from the debate in December sinply because the AP is the LSM and they think they can dictate who the respective nominees are going to be 6 months before the primary. The citizens of the Commonwealth should be outraged and the AP servers should be melting down from the incoming emails demanding all viable candidates for the Senatorial nomination be given a spot in the debate.

One of those viable candidates, IMAO, is Mrs Jamie Radtke. Jamie Radtke is a friend of this blog. Our blogmistress Flora MacDonald speaks very highly of Mrs Radtke and I value Flora's opinion. I have posted at least one column written by Mrs. Radtke here, because that's what we do; share information relevant to Viriginia conservative politics. Her writing alone qualifies her for a spot in the AP debate. She is a genuine voice for Virginia grassroots conservatives and the AP should be ashamed...oops what was I thinking? The LSM has no shame.

If the AP really had the interests of the citizens of our Commonwealth in mind, they would allow Mrs Radtke to participate in the debate. Anyone who believes in the Original Intent of The Founders and their concept of a citizen government should let the AP know we don't appreciate being told who we can and cannot hear.

Taking the Fifth on the Solyndra scandal | Examiner Editorial | Opinion | Washington Examiner

Taking the Fifth on the Solyndra scandal Examiner Editorial Opinion Washington Examiner

There should be an "opt-out" option so tax-paying American citizens can tell the government how their taxes can be used.

I'm opting-out of any tax-payer funded white elephants, pipe dreams and alternative energy Charlie-Foxtrots.

....it is a shame that Solyndra CEO Brian Harrison and Chief Financial Officer W.G. Stover chose to invoke their Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate themselves 20 separate times during a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing Friday. The questions posed by the committee members were tough but fair. Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, wanted to know, "What happened between January of 2009 when the Bush administration rejected the loan application and March 2009 when the Obama administration reversed course and approved this half-a-billion-dollar loan?"

Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., asked if any Obama representatives were present at board meetings when the company realized it was not going to be profitable. Chairman Cliff Stearns, R-Fla., wanted to know if anyone from the Obama administration explained to Solyndra's executives that subordinating taxpayer's interests to the company's private investors was a violation of federal law. The American people deserve answers to all of these questions. And they will get them, only now they will have to wait for the result of an FBI investigation and very possibly a criminal trial.

Solyndra: How Far Obama and the Democrats Will Go to Protect Liberal Investors

Solyndra: How Far Obama and the Democrats Will Go to Protect Liberal Investors

All the way to the bank and back to the lawyers.

The real question is whether this is a genuine scandal or just another diversion to keep the right busy while the sociopaths, oops, I mean socialists, are busy working their evil. Nothing like money, politics and a payoff to keep the righwing busy. Like wrapping a wad of peanut butter up in a tenderloin to keep the guard dogs busy while plundering the yard.

Yet another greedy lazy leftist slob Marxist wannabe calling for the elimination of people who have more than he does.

I see a pattern of envy and jealousy working here. Thats all Marxism is. A justification for people who are to lazy to achieve on their own to take what others have leagally obtained through hard work and dedication.

Michael Moore will be one of the first to go down because he's rich too. Although he's probably already gone down several times. He kinda looks like a packer.

Random House Doubles Down, Defends Anti-Palin Literary Hoax; McGinniss Spins Emails of Omission

Random House Doubles Down, Defends Anti-Palin Literary Hoax; McGinniss Spins Emails of Omission

McGinniss revealed in an e-mail in January 2011 that Random House lawyers had informed him–after all of that “extensive-on-the-ground reporting in Alaska, as well as in-depth interviews”–that his manuscript contained nothing beyond “tawdry gossip,” and that his most “salacious stories” lacked “factual evidence.”

Yesterday, McGinniss told Mediaite: “My reporting continued beyond the date of the email.” In an attempt to prove that claim, he has released e-mails to Weigel showing his correspondence with prostitute Shailey Tripp, as he attempted to substantiate his claim that “Todd had sex with a hooker.”

But the new emails only highlight McGinniss’s decision not to include allegations about a “hooker” in the published book. They do not show why McGinniss chose to include almost every other allegation in The Rogue about which he had admitted in January that there was no “factual evidence.” McGinniss omits any emails relating to those claims

A Message From the Folks Who Live There

“It’s About Jobs”:
Ice Road Trucker & Fellow Alaskans Testify on Need to Unlock American Energy in Alaska

Posted [on SotH website] by Katie Boyd on September 21, 2011

Opening up resource-rich areas of Alaska to new energy exploration and production will create jobs, ensure the continued flow of energy to the lower 48 states, and promote America’s energy security. That was the message shared by Alaskans today at a House Natural Resources Committee hearing on the government’s refusal to unlock more American energy production in that state. Boosting American energy production to address high gas prices and help create jobs has been a key plank of the GOP’s plan for jobs and the focus of our American Energy Initiative. Here are some of the highlights from today’s hearing:

“Development of ANWR Would in Turn Create Tens of Thousands of Jobs.” Fenton Okomailak Rexford, Tribal Administrator for the Native Village of Kaktovik and a member of the Kaktovik City Council: “[D]evelopment of ANWR would result in thousands of new contracts, all across the U.S., for materials and services. … The additional expenditures related to development of ANWR would in turn create tens of thousands of jobs, many of which could put unemployed Americans back to work in manufacturing facilities, the construction business, and other industries.” (Testimony, 9/21/11)

“Inaction Trumps Common Sense and Legitimate Need” for Jobs. Tim Sharp, Business Manager of the Alaska District Council of Laborers: “We seem to be caught up in contemplating our navel on process, permitting and politics at a time when it is obvious to most that we have oil in Alaska, development would generate thousands of needed jobs, and the leverage and impact the foreign producers could have on us would lessen. Instead, inaction trumps common sense and legitimate need. … I am addressing today the need for political action to offset our dwindling energy reserves in the next five to ten years but equally important the need for jobs today. ” (Testimony, 9/21/11)

Your American Service Union At Its Finest

Let's get one thing straight from the outset, I have no (zero, zip, nada) issues with trade unions. They keep our workforce properly staffed with well-trained men and women who genuinely care about doing good work. I have no issues with the UMW, because if there ever was a class of worker who needed protection, its the mineworker.

What I do have an issue with is an asshole who stands up in front of a crowd of pencil-pushing, envelope licking, paper-folding, inbox stuffing parasites and incites them to violence against American citizens.

This is not free-speech.

Here's A Good Start If It's Done Right

Got this from GOPUSA in an email blast. At first glance, it looks like it will work just fine, if they install the pipeline right the first time. There are pipelines buried everywhere carrying refined petroleum products and natural gas and they work just fine. I know this project will keep a lot of welders and welding inspectors very busy, and yes, I'm self-serving. I like to work. I like earning a living.

I also know the enviro-wackjobs will be very busy trying to stop it. This project will twist their panties in a wad.

Here's the location map.
And here is the Google Earth satellite view.

I'm sure they'll find some red-breasted tit-mouse kangaroo owl who only eats snail-darters and claim endangered species.

Here's the link to voice support for this project.

The Keystone XL pipeline would bring North American oil to refineries on the Gulf Coast here in the US.

That means more American jobs, lower energy costs (including lower prices at the pump), and a more stable, secure energy supply. But unless the Federal Government allows access to the vast resources at our fingertips, those jobs will go overseas - and America will stay just another international crisis away from gas prices reaching $4/gallon again, or soaring even higher.

Cargosquid is still alive

Sorry about no posts for awhile.

Real life has intruded. Between going back to college after 20 + years, Darling Daughter returning to school, job searching, and losing my internet capability (Thank goodness for public libraries), posting suffered and will continue to be light.

Also, I'm so disgusted by what I see coming from our "representatives", the media, and the uninformed citizenry, I've felt little urge to post. Nothing coming from that idiot in the White House is new, original, or unexpected. Fisking his speeches has become repetitive.

Same old sh...stuff, different day.

I'll be around. Thanks.

A Couple Of Posts From Blackfive

First, Mr Wolf tells his 9-11-01 story.

This is a different kind of post for us. We want to take a look at how 9-11 has changed our readers. How it has affected you after 10 years, and how it is likely to affect you the next 10. This blog, and blogs like it, came about, eventually, as a result of 9-11. That is one huge change in my life as an example...
My very good friend and partner in culinary crime, Laughing Wolf, has a few words of wisdom.

Just remember, your safety is not the government's responsibility: it is yours.

This Is Why We Don't Need A Draft

Socialist’: Media Largely Ignore Ideological Declaration by Killer of Five in West Virginia

On Tuesday, The Blaze posted extensive reports on the mass shootings in both Nevada and West Virginia.

Both stories involved elements regarding the U.S. military. In Nevada, of course, many of the victims were in the National Guard. The gunman’s motives, though, are still not entirely clear.

The shooter in West Virginia, who killed five people (and also an unborn fetus) in one home, seemed to voice a variety of grievances including some anger at having been rejected for military service.

Shayne Riggleman’s murderous actions are getting a great deal of media attention; however, few media outlets are including Riggleman’s self-declaration of his Socialist ideology.
