Democrats are overwhelmingly the targets of the new rules that Speaker Pelosi fought for when she promised to “drain the swamp” as her party took control of the House in 2007. But she has learned that she cannot do without ethically oleaginous lawmakers like John Murtha and Charlie Rangel and so has preserved them at her own peril.

Writer Paul Kane explains:“Two and a half years into Pelosi's reign, more than 25 Democrats have been targeted for ethics reviews by the two ethics bodies, while just seven Republicans appeared to be under scrutiny, according to the document.”

We're in a critical month for President Obama's agenda. Corporate lobbyists are trying to weaken or kill both his energy and health care plans.

And recently, right-wing opponents of President Obama's agenda have been hijacking town halls and other public events. They're even using fraudulent tactics, like bringing in people who don't even live in the district.1 We urgently need to make sure everyday constituents are heard in the public debate over health care—and coming to this event is a timely and easy way to do that.
Can you be there on Monday at 6 p.m.?

I've Seen These Tactics Used Before

by the extreme left wing anti-military, anti-war, pro-Hamas, pro-Hezb'allah, anti-Israel asshats.

What can we expect them to do?
• They will be loud: They will “Yell, stand up and shout out, and rattle” the Members of Congress. They will be disruptive and not follow the agenda. They won’t wait for an opening to speak. They will just interrupt and shout from the minute the event opens until it ends.
• They will paint a picture: They will carry a lot of signs. They will have gimmicks and props to get attention from the MOCs and from the media.
• They will look bigger than they are: They will spread out and distribute their signs widely. They will also get in front of any TV camera or press people in order to make sure the story that is reported is their story.
• They will seek confrontation: The right-wing protesters will foster confrontation at every turn because that’s what draws media and distracts the public. They will use any means to do this including abusive language, arrests, props, and physical violence. Be prepared.

The last item in the memo is interesting:

Assign people to greet the media and to stay close to reporters both as they enter and leave the event.
It’s important that you take away right-wingers opportunities to talk with reporters by making sure that your staff or leaders are in constant contact with the media who attend.
You should set up a special table or area for the press to sit during the event and that area should be close to the stage and away from any areas of the venue where protesters may gather. Also make sure you have materials ready for the reporters so that they know the purpose and message of the event.

In other words, stifle the First Amendment rights of anyone who doesn't agree with socialized medicine.

Too bad we can't seem to get any from the 0bamamaniacs and the barking moonbats of the so-called "enlightened elites." You can tell they have no argument when they start with name calling. Usually, they make an attempt to debate the issue, before resorting to school-yard tactics when they realize they are losing. The caliber of the moonbats is just getting lower and lower. Go back to your mama's basement, anon. You're a loser, you may as well accept it and move on. I'm sure someone at DU would love to hear your opinions.

0bama is no more fit to serve as this Nation's leader than I am. He's a tool of the most extreme elements of this country. The Communist Party USA has endorsed him. He's refused to produce a valid birth certificate. He denies his muslim and violent leftist connections. His associates are the most virulent strain of racists and extemists I've ever heard. He can't string together a coherent sentence without a teleprompter.

Nearly 10,000 of the biggest donors to Republican candidates and causes across the country will probably receive a foreboding “warning” letter in the mail next week.…
Led by Tom Matzzie, a liberal political operative who has been involved with some prominent left-wing efforts in recent years, the newly formed nonprofit group, Accountable America, is planning to confront donors to conservative groups, hoping to create a chilling effect that will dry up contributions.
“We want to stop the Swift Boating before it gets off the ground,” said Mr. Matzzie, who described his effort as “going for the jugular.”
The warning letter is intended as a first step, alerting donors who might be considering giving to right-wing groups to a variety of potential dangers, including legal trouble, public exposure and watchdog groups digging through their lives.
Free speech is cool with these guys, see, just as long as they approve of what you’re saying. Otherwise, they’re going to attempt to shut you up. They’re especially interested in strongarming Republican donor Sheldon Adelson (of Freedom’s Watch) , but as I mentioned back here, they won’t be the first leftist group to try to shut him down.
Accountable America would be far more alarming, by the way, if they were smarter:
…anonymity is a potential obstacle to the group’s efforts. Outside political groups organized as 501(c)4 entities, including Accountable America, do not have to disclose the names of their donors.
Oopsie. Think about that: by sending intimidating letters to potential donors, Accountable America has actually discouraged direct contributions to conservative candidates (which are on the public record) and created an incentive for donors to give anonymously to groups like Freedom’s Watch, which can legally protect their donor list from the likes of Accountable America!
It wouldn’t be the first counterproductive leftist campaign in recent memory, would it?
