Gustav has literally shut down the petroleum industry in the Gulf for the next three to four weeks, depending on how bad this thing really gets.
It may only affect it for a few days, but no doubt it is having an affect.
Suppose we had ANWR or the Babbin(?) Field in Montana online and pumping. Ain't no hurricaines in Montana or Alaska, that I know of. This wouldn't even have been a bump in the supply system. They fly all the workers from the Gulf to the north fields, and double production for the duration of the emergency.
