Welding Jobs Seem To Be Making A Comeback

Technical Schools Say Demand For Welding Jobs On Rise In CSRA By Tina Terry Published: March 30, 2011 Augusta, GA --
It's a profession in high demand in Georgia-Carolina. Both Augusta and Aiken technical colleges say they've had an increase in students signing up to become welders. Demand for the program is so great at Augusta Tech that there is a year long waiting list to be accepted to the program. "With the advent of the energy industry in our area and with their development and crying out for employees, we have waiting lists," said James Price of Augusta Technical College. School officials say projects at Plant Vogle and Savanah River Site will create an increased demand for welders in the coming years.

Speaking from experience, I wholeheartedly concur. We need more good welders.
We also need more Certified Welding Inspectors. Its a good field to be in.
