Another hero lost

Army Spc. Christian J. Romig, 1st Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, Task Force Panther, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, was killed on Wednesday when an IED destroyed his vehicle.


He was the nephew of a sister-in-law. I had the misfortune not to actually know him, but received word yesterday.


He received the Combat Action Badge just last month from Sec. of Defense Gates while at Forward Operating Base Connolly in eastern Afghanistan.
