Just a thought
Army Spc. Monica Lin Brown, who earned a Silver Star by her heroism, is not allowed to have a beer to celebrate her good fortune of surviving. Nor is this combat tested warrior allowed to purchase a hand gun in Virginia.
She is 19 years old.
Adults that are 18-20 years old are treated as adults by the courts, military, and business. They are allowed to get married without permission, raise families, sign contracts, join the military, supervise others in life or death situations, save their lives, be responsible for of millions of dollars worth of equipment, engage in combat, kill people, and rebuild countries.
Isn't it about time we treated adults like adults?
