Richmond City Tags 100 Porn Surfers

I'm wondering what the "corporate culture" is like in these agencies when on any given day you've got up to 100 "aroused" employees panting in their cubicles.

Since child pornography was not involved, Police Chief Rodney Monroe turned the investigation over to the city's deputy chief administrative officer, Harry E. Black. No charges will be filed. It remains to be seen if heads will roll.

Monroe earlier said that the city's investigation involved "several hundred" visits to about 100 porn sites.

The personal logons of more than 100 city employees in at least 10 city agencies were identified.

Those agencies included the Department of Public Works, the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, the Sheriff's Office, the Finance Department, the City Attorney's Office and the City Auditor's Office, he said.

Black noted yesterday that employees are aware that using city computers to visit pornographic sites violates the rules governing use of city-owned computer equipment.
