One Tough Lady
Speaking of tough ladies, check out this lady I ran into at Rolling Thunder.
I found out that the bikes with the yellow stars on them are the "Gold Star Mom escorts." These people take the moms who have lost a loved one in a war, and ride them through the parade to the rally site. Well, this lady is not being escorted. She IS the "escort-er." You could see the pride in each of these people's eyes as those moms mounted up to ride past thousands of people that lined the course. I will never forget it. My two-year goal now, is to get a bike like these so that I can ride one of these moms through that parade. After seeing what it means to them, and watching the tears of gratitude flow on both sides, I really want this. They deserve to have that day.
