Sept 11th at the National D-Day Memorial
I spent a portion of Patriot’s Day 2006 in Bedford Virginia at the National D-Day Memorial. It was an unforgettable afternoon. I cannot recommend it highly enough and words cannot express the effect of it. Every detail in the Memorial's layout and makeup come together to make tribute. The statues and plaques work together to educate and provoke mind and emotion. I have pledged to go back and to take a young person with me each time. My individual history challenges me to disciple Christians, my country’s history challenges me to disciple Citizens. We would be nothing without our challenges and sacrifices. Nothing but consumers.
