I am sorry to say I couldn't make it... the land yacht is having a major overhaul.
I've only been to one shad planking and that was up on the Hudson River many years ago. Actually, it was called a Shad Festival. Pete Seeger was there with a state-of-the-art environmentally friendly toilet and sang a song he had written about it.
I don't remember anyone actually eating shad but I think we drank a lot of beer.
