Government Agencies Need More $ But Please Don't Ask For Details

Delegate Chris Saxman continues to fight the good fight in the struggle to get state spending under control.

Recently, we have heard from top officials that while they cannot tell us how many people actually work for the state and that they physically cannot show you what they do, we need a lot more money in the meantime. Sadly, this has not been the focus of the debate. Virginia Cost Cutting Blog

I wonder how long it would take Walmart to come up with the number of people they employ worldwide, how much they make and their job descriptions? My guess is, not long at all.

I don't think the "government" in our state understands yet about the quiet insurrection taking place nor the consequences.

Little by little, slowly but surely, all kinds of people, organizations, businesses and elected officials are working to overturn rocks and shed some light on what has been obscured, either intentionally or not, from public view and comment.

They are asking for an orderly, reasonable, decipherable accounting for the millions and millions of dollars taken from working people and private enterprise.

Meanwhile these citizens are challenged at every turn as if accountability is just too radical a concept to contemplate.

I am reminded of the words some have attributed to the great Marquis de Lafayette:
"VIVA LA REVOLUCION!"
