Semper Fi Fund » Wounded Warriors to participate in Cutting Horse Classic 2012

Nokesville, VA - As part of Semper Fi Fund’s Jinx McCain Horsemanship Program, ten select wounded Marines and Sailors from the Marine Corps’ Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR) will be participating in the Wounded Warrior Cutting Horse Classic event at the D & M Cattle Company in Nokesville, Virginia.

The Cutting Horse Classic a new program launched by the WWR. At the inaugural event in July 2011, rider Marine veteran Lee Randles stated, “The Cutting Horse Classic is an activity that helps service members learn how to separate cattle through cutting horse techniques and it also helps them with their confidence, agility and ability to make quick decisions. It gives us a mental and physical challenge and the training to overcome it.”

Each day the warriors will participate in training sessions. On April 14, the participants will compete in a cutting horse competition to see who takes home the winning trophy!
