Don Fowler, Keith Olbermann and Michael Moore are scum. And so are any Democrats that support them.

Apparently some Democrats think, that as long as a disaster seems to disproportionately affect the GOP, the disaster is a gift from God. Flooding, Death, Destruction, what a big laugh. If the Democratic party does not publicly repudiate these pieces of crap, as the GOP did to Falwell, then I tar the entire party with the same brush.

I grew up in New Orleans. I have family in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast. If partisan politics is the only thing on their tiny, little, idiotic, syphilitic pieces of sludge that they call brains, do they care that New Orleans is a democratic bastion in the Republican South? Apparently these slime balls don't care who dies as long as they and the media can spin it to the harm of the GOP.

I know its wrong. But I hope that one day THEY have family members in harms way. Then lets see what a joke it is.

This Is Too Good Not To Share

Someone explain how this doesn't qualify as sound reasoning and an understanding of the global situation?

June 23, 2008
The Honorable Harry Reid
Senate Majority Leader
United States Senate
528 Hart Senate Office Building .
Washington, DC 20510

Dear Senate Majority Leader Reid:

In previous correspondence to members of Congress, I have urged the enactment of legislation to authorize development of oil and natural gas in a small portion of the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR). I will not repeat the arguments in favor of this legislation but will briefly focus on a few key points that have become even more evident since my last correspondence.

That letter began, "With the price of oil hovering around $100 per barrel". Now, just a few months later, the price is close to $140 per barrel, and there is no end in sight. What will it take for Congress to enact comprehensive energy policy that includes increased domestic production of oil and gas, renewable and alternative energy, and conservation? It seems to us outside of the Capitol Beltway that Virtually every effort to accomplish this is met with criticism and failure. In my opinion, the debate about energy policy is no longer theoretical and abstract. Our failure to enact an energy policy is having real consequences for every American in their daily lives and has begun to affect America's place in the world.

In the last few days, proposals have been tabled to permit oil exploration and development in the 80 percent of the federal Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) which is off limits to such activity. I strongly support oes development in Alaska and elsewhere as a necessary component of a sound energy strategy. However, it makes no sense to consider the oes and to ignore the possibility of exploration and development in highly perspective upland areas, including the coastal plain of ANWR-the most promising unexplored petroleum province in North America.
With appropriate stipulations, oil exploration and development in the OCS can be conducted in a safe manner. Uplands development can be accomplished even more safely. Advanced technologies, such as directional drilling and the re-injection of oil wastes, ensure that the footprint of development would be less than 2,000 acres (approximately one-quarter of the size of Dulles Airport).

In advocating for oil development in ANWR, I have never guaranteed that this new domestic production would immediately reduce the price of oil. However, incremental production from the coastal plain should help reduce price volatility in the U.S. Additionally, ANWR development would send a strong message to oil speculators and producing countries that the United States is serious about addressing its energy problem.

Yet, there is an even more important point. The location and quantity of oil production are changing world geopolitics. Countries that produce significant quantities of oil and natural gas are gaining in power and prestige. Several of these countries have objectives and value systems that are antithetical to U.S. interests. We are becoming increasingly dependent on these insecure sources to our long-term detriment. Further, it has become clear that U.S. petrodollars are financing activities that are harmful to America and to our economic and military interests around the world.

Much attention has been focused on the importance of crude oil and gasoline in fueling our nation's transportation system. This need for petroleum will not end anytime soon despite efforts to develop new technologies and to diversify our transportation system into mass transit and more fuel efficient automobiles.

Meanwhile, the true significance to the nation's economy of products refined from petroleum is becoming increasingly apparent. These products undergird our entire society and economy and provide precious jobs and revenue. The soaring prices of chemicals, plastics, fertilizer, and other products - and the loss of jobs - graphically illustrate this point. We must recognize that it will be many years, if ever, before we discover alternatives to the petroleum-based products that every American uses in our daily lives.

If we don't move now to enact an energy policy that includes more oil and gas production from domestic sources, including ANWR and the federal OCS, we may look back someday and realize that we failed to perceive a critical crossroad in the history of this nation. I don't think it's overly dramatic to say that this nation's future and the quality of life for every American are dependent on the decisions you make or don't make in the next few months.

Thank you for considering my views.

Sincerely,
Sarah Palin
Governor

5th Marines Taking Care of Refugees

Doctors visit Sudanese refugees

by Cpl. Ryan Tomlinson, RCT-5
AL-ANBAR PROVINCE, Iraq – A large group of Sudanese refugees living in
tents here were visited by a group of friendly faces Aug. 25.

Marines and sailors with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5 visited the community of Sudanese refugees near Al Waleed, Iraq, which is on the Iraq-Jordan border, to provide them with healthcare Aug. 25.

"It was a rewarding feeling to provide care to people who have gone through so much,” said Petty Officer 2nd Class George C. Fricke, a corpsman with Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd LAR Bn. “They are good people, but they’re in a bad predicament right now, so they need someone like us to help them.”

During the visit, the service members cared for more than 200 patients in the community. One by one, the people saw a doctor to be treated for sicknesses ranging from eye infections to the flu.

News From Fallujah Iraq

Security insures stability, stability insures prosperity, prosperity is a measure of victory.

Resolve to Win

From the Fearless First Marine blog:

Story by Cpl. Chris Lyttle

FALLUJAH, Iraq – Transportation in the city of Fallujah has taken the high road, far beyond the days of Bedouin caravan runners who used camels to travel and transport goods across the desert.Besides the occasional farmer’s donkey carting vegetables, Iraqis use four wheels, vice four legs, as a preferred method of travel. Dump trucks, tankers, commuter traffic and other vehicles steadily flow into Fallujah’s entry control points, which have been put in place to safeguard people inside the city.

Increasingly long car lines at the ECPs are a visual indication that commerce is on the rise, but so is the inconvenience of traffic congestion. To accommodate for this growth, Iraqi contractors and 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines are rebuilding the ECPs to cut the wait time for commuters, which in turn could boost the city’s incoming revenue.“Historically, the city of Fallujah has a transportation and logistics-based economy,” said 1st Lt. Philipp Rigaut, assistant operations officer, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marines.

“Based on demographics, the largest employment sector in Anbar and Fallujah involves transportation, particularly with truckers and cab drivers. The new ECPs throughout Fallujah are designed to support the increasing traffic flow while serving its primary purpose as the first line of security upon entering the city.”

Marines Doing Good Work

The hoopla and huge sighs of relief brought on by Senator John SIDNEY McCain's pick of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate shouldn't keep us from remembering that we still have Marines in Iraq doing good things.

The 1st Marine RCT-1 is in Fallujah and turning on the power. See pics and read more here.

FALLUJAH, Iraq – Nearly 10,000 Fallujah homes were restored with electricity access thanks to Marines working closely with the Fallujah City Council to deliver 35 new generators throughout the city.

Civil Affairs Team 2, 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, in direct support of 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, along with Sheik Hamid Ahmad Hashim al-Alwani, chairman of the FCC, announced the delivery of the 32nd generator during an Iraqi press briefing Aug. 27 at a site in the city where one of the generators has been producing power for the last three months.

“From the time we arrived in January, there was a local demand for generators throughout the city,” said Chief Warrant Officer 2 Byron Yoshida, team leader, Civil Affairs Team 2. “Initially, the project was sub-divided by precincts and eventually it became a city-wide project of providing the 35 generators.”

In early March, an informal Iraqi committee was formed and locations for the generators were proposed to Marines with Team 2. Since then, Team 2 has worked closely with contractors to deliver the units.

Each generator will provide anywhere from 100 to 300 homes with electricity within a 300 meter radius. Yoshida said he anticipates having all of the generators delivered in time for the end of Ramadan celebrations, which occur Oct. 1.
While some neighborhoods receive power from privately-owned generators, the new units are available to all residents for minimal fees and are managed by trained Iraqi operators.

“We trained and certified operators who are responsible for keeping residents connected and keeping the generator operating using preventive maintenance,” Yoshida said. “The operators are obligated to ensuring the generators provide a minimum of seven hours of power on a daily basis to offset the shortage of national power.”

Sheik Hamid said he is grateful the generators arrived in time for the hotter portion of the summer and for Ramadan, but noted they are a short-term fix for a larger problem. The city had previously used hydroelectric power produced by the Haditha Dam, which has not been in full operation for several years due to neglect by the Saddam regime

Young Republican Federation of Virginia Statement on Sarah Palin

Palin adds enthusiasm and energy to the John McCain Ticket
For Immediate ReleaseAugust 29, 2008
Republican Presidential candidate John McCain named Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.

Palin adds strong, conservative leadership to the ticket. With an 80% approval rating in Alaska, Palin has been a solid leader on fiscal responsibility and has lead the fight for the development of new energy resources.

Young Republican Federation of Virginia Chairman, Lori-Ann Miller issued a statement on McCain's pick of Sarah Palin for his running mate:

"Sarah Palin is a strong Vice Presidential pick that represents a fresh breath of air for those looking for representation in this election and someone who will make a difference in Washington, DC.

As a soon-to-be mom myself, I admire what Sarah Palin has been able to achieve as both a professional executive rising to the level of Governor as well as being a mom of five children. With three daughters, one son off to Iraq in only a few weeks and a baby boy with the challenges of Down's syndrome, she has been a successful manager both of a State and her family.

One of the issues important to me is the pain we all face at the pump, there is no one that knows the issue of rising oil prices and how we can solve this problem better than someone who knows Alaska and its issues like Sarah Palin.

Lastly, I can't stop thinking of the irony that Hillary Clinton was able to get so many women excited about politics and what a woman could do, but it is the Republican Party, not the Democrat Party, that is leading the way and elevating a smart and qualified woman like Sarah Palin to its 2008 ticket to win the White House.

I feel confident that Governor Palin should be able to carry on the mantle left to her by Geraldine Ferraro's 1984 run, connect with women as a new and refreshing face and close the deal to help us win in 2008. As a young professional and mom-to-be, I am looking forward to campaigning for the McCain/Palin ticket."

The Young Republican Federation of Virginia is enthusiastic about the recent selection of Sarah Palin as John McCain's running mate. This ticket offers the opportunity for the first woman Vice President and a running mate who is dedicated towards advancing the cause of freedom and prosperity for America.

You Know She Was the Right One

by the way in which the left wing blogs are handling the announcement this afternoon by Senator John SIDNEY McCain that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will be his vice president.

"Pinup Girl for the right-wing",
a "desperate move" says VB Dems;
Blueweeds says:
My initial reaction was "Not fair! Republicans are evil for running a hottie swimsuit model." Or writing something pithy about "the Beauty and the Beast Campaign."

If thats the best they got, we are in for a booooooring campaign, cause this crap will get old quick around here and I will delete and block anyone who continously comments on her appearence and refuses to engage in honest and open debate.

JTB, just what is your problem with conservative women? or is it just women in general?

Sarah Palin Vice Presidential Nominee

Palin Speaks to Newsmax About McCain, Abortion, Climate Change
Friday, August 29, 2008 10:40 AMBy: Mike Coppock

(Sarah Palin has emerged as John McCain's vice-presidential running mate. Palin talked to Newsmax magazine for its upcoming September 2008 issue about Alaskan oil, global warming, and John McCain.)

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is a God-fearing, gun-toting former beauty queen who could just become America’s next vice president.

In Alaska, the right to bear arms means staying on top of the food chain. Palin, a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association, hunts, shoots, and fishes.

Husband Todd holds a commercial fishing license for salmon. In the mid-1990s, when Todd got a job working on Alaska’s North Slope, Palin decided to occupy herself by becoming mayor of Wasilla, the state's fastest-growing community.

As mayor, she gradually grew frustrated with Alaska’s “good ol’ boy” style of governance -- so she decided to do something about it. She ran for governor in 2006 and won, defeating popular former Democratic Gov. Tony Knowles.

Palin’s victory made her Alaska's first female chief executive, and its youngest.

Now, many insiders believe this 44-year-old mother of five would add a strong conservative presence to the GOP ticket.

Palin tells Newsmax that it’s high time Congress allows the development of Alaska’s wealth of oil and gas. She doubts global warming stems from human activity, and she considers herself both a fiscal and social conservative.

Are you open to running as McCain’s vice president?
Palin: I have so much on my plate as governor, it’s hard to even imagine such an offer. I would just have to cross that bridge when it comes.

What do you think of McCain’s chances, and what should he and the GOP do to win in November?
I believe John McCain will be our next president. To win, he needs to continue his message that America needs leadership devoted to the public interest -- not the special interest. The GOP needs to live the planks of its platform, not just offer lip service.

How did you pull off your election victory as governor?
Alaska was ready for a positive change and tired of the good ol’ boy network. It caused many Alaskans to lose faith in their government. People want faith in their government. I have been able to pass a comprehensive reform law and place the state's checkbook online. You can be a reformer and also be a conservative.

And your stand on abortion?
I'm pro-life. I'll do all I can to see every baby is created with a future and potential. The legislature should do all it can to protect human life.

Politically, how would you describe yourself?
Fiscally and socially, I am a conservative. My respect for the three different branches of government and the balance between them has been my guide.

If you were running for president, what causes would you champion?
I would push for a strong military and a sound energy policy. I believe that Alaska can help set an example on energy policy.

Speaking of energy, how much oil and gas does America really have?
We have billions and billions of barrels of oil and trillions of feet of natural gas. We have so much potential from tapping our resources here in Alaska. And we can do this with minimum environmental impact. We have a very pro-development president in President Bush, and yet he failed to push for opening up parts of Alaska to drilling through Congress -- and a Republican-controlled Congress, I might add.
I thought when we hit $100 a barrel for oil it would have been a psychological barrier that would have caused Congress to reconsider, but they didn't. Now we are approaching $200 a barrel. It's nonsense not to tap a safe domestic source of oil. I think Americans need to hold Congress accountable on this one.

What is your take on global warming and how is it affecting our country?
A changing environment will affect Alaska more than any other state, because of our location. I'm not one though who would attribute it to being man-made.

Biden Wrong Then Wrong Now Wrong ALWAYS

September 9, 2007: From an interview with Tim Russert on Meet the Press:
MR. RUSSERT: Let me show you what you said in Iowa last week. “If we do not change course in Iraq soon, you’re going to see, two years from now, helicopters hovering over our embassy in the Green Zone in Baghdad with people hanging” onto “the ladders just like Vietnam. Mark my words.”
SEN. BIDEN: Absolutely, positively, unequivocally, I believe that. Look, let me tell you, Tim, there is no possibility—no possibility—of a central government governing Iraq in any near term…
MR. RUSSERT: General Petraeus said in a letter to his troops that we have not had the political reconciliation we thought we would have at this time. It’s been much slower, but there is some hope. And then he added this: “My sense is that we have achieved tactical momentum and wrested the initiative from our enemies in a number areas of Iraq. We are, in short, a long way from the goal line, but we do have the ball and we are driving down the field.” Is that what you expect him to say tomorrow?
SEN. BIDEN: I expect him to say that. And I really respect him. And I think he’s dead flat wrong. The fact of the matter is that there is—that this idea of these security gains we’ve made have had no impact on the underlying sectarian dynamic. None. None whatsoever… And can anybody envision a central government made up of Sunni, Shia and Kurds that’s going to gain the trust and respect of 27 million Iraqis? It’s not going to happen.

MR. RUSSERT: Your presidential campaign is on the air with a political ad about Iraq. Let’s watch it for a second.
(Videotape)
NARRATOR: (From Biden political ad) In a world this dangerous, with a crisis as tough as Iraq, hard truths need to be told. Joe Biden says this war must end now.
MR. RUSSERT: This war must end now. In, in ‘05, this is what Joe Biden was saying: “We can call it quits and withdraw from Iraq. I think that would be a gigantic mistake. Or we can set a deadline for pulling out, which I fear will only encourage our enemies to wait us out—equally a mistake.” You’ve changed your mind.
SEN. BIDEN: Well, I have changed my mind, but I haven’t changed my mind in any fundamental way…

New Presidential Candidate

For those that can't see the above video: Cargosquid 08
If elected I promise to put a 1911a1 into every pot. You have to get your own chicken.
I will make January 23rd a national holiday.
Militia training will resume. The citizenry should be trained for national emergencies including that of overreaching government.
Tarring and feathering of corrupt politicians will become a national pastime and be shown at Halftime on Super Bowl Sunday.
Letters of Marque will be issued against terrorists, pirates, and, oh, anybody that ticks us off....
The UN will be moved to Africa.
Drill Here, Drill Now, Drill Over there, too.
Anybody that declares that we are only in a "war for oil" will be deported to Darfur where there is a war for oil going on....
Income taxes will be eliminated for Honorably discharged veterans and honorably serving military members. Murtha and Kerry will have their entire net worth confiscated. Kerry will be tried for treason. Murtha will be sent to Parris Island for "re-training."
Free trade is good for America. If the other countries don't want it, we will match THEIR restrictions.
The State Department will get their funding tripled. All foreign officers will then get trained at Blackwater. Let them protect themselves if they don't like how their bodyguards react. The Army and Marine Corps should NOT be doing THEIR job.
The rules of engagement will be, well, you'll find out....sssshhhh. Let's surprise them.
If Iran wants nukes, fine. They want to play with the big boys. If one nuke goes off, ANYWHERE, they get turned to glass.
Same for Korea.
Build the fence. Put the National Guard on it. No more Mexican soldiers crossing the line. Send some maps to Mexico. With big lines drawn, showing "north", "south", and "border". Remind them that 1846 was not THAT long ago.....
That said, if their citizens want to become Americans, streamline the process and take ALL OF THEIR HARD WORKING CITIZENS.
Cold beer, Smooth Whiskey, and smoke 'em if you got' em.
If someone wants free medical treatment, we will give them a free ticket to Cuba.
General Petraeus for Vice President.
Fred Thompson on Supreme Court. Condi, too.
John Bolton as Secretary of State.
Ted Nugent as Secretary of Interior.
Defense Department renamed the War Department. USMC Gen'l Mattis (ret) as Sec of War.
Disband Department of Homeland Defense.
Recognize Taiwan as the Republic of Taiwan. (If they want us to do so.)
Give India the USS Kitty Hawk, just to tick off Russia. (and Iran)
If Georgia, Poland, and any other country wants our help, put their troops through OUR boot camp and training. Then sell them our weapons.
The BATFE will be folded back into the FBI. ALCOHOL, TOBACCO, and FIREARMS, should be a convenience store, not an agency. "Shall not be infringed" is written in plain english. The other two products don't need a federal watchdog agency.

Oh, and the White House will get its own firing range.

What If McCain Picks A Woman?

My Brother Marine, Ron Winter, author of "Masters of the Art: A Fighting Marines View of Viet Nam" and a door-gunner on a CH-46 in Nam asks this question. He has more after the jump.

Well, what if McCain does select a woman as his running mate? Personally, I think it would be the death knell for the Democratic campaign, based of course on the assumption that his selection is a good one and can stand up to campaign scrutiny.

I’ve heard the same point made by quite a few of my veteran friends - male veterans - and if you can convince that crowd, I think the American voter is more than ready for a woman in one of the top executive posts.

There are at least two Republican women, and one business Chief Executive Officer whose names have been mentioned as possible VP selections, but the MainStream Media, well, actually, all the media, have given them short shrift.

They are Texas Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and former eBay Ceo Meg Whitman.

All are pragmatic, accomplished leaders who have set firsts with their elections and careers. They have shown they have a tremendous grasp of the issues, aren’t afraid to step up when the going gets tough, and all could step into the president’s role should anything happen to McCain.

On a purely political level they also would certainly draw large numbers of democratic women voters to the GOP in response to Barack Obama’s disrespectful treatment of Hillary Clinton. Then there’s the stage-managed sham called the Democratic Convention that was engineered to cloak the closeness of the Democratic race between Obama and Clinton.

But there is another issue that should be addressed regarding the Republican Party and its relationship to the voters. An esteemed colleague spoke with me about this issue just this morning and I have learned to heed her advice.

The fact is, she said, the GOP looks old, stodgy, stuck in its ways. Even though Obama has close relationships with a convicted felon, and an anarchist with a history of bombing the US Capitol, the mainstream media has made sure that most Americans don’t know this unless they are Internet savvy.

Thus Obama comes across as young, fresh and energetic, even though he is simply another political hack, produced by the Chicago Democratic political machine 0perated by the Daley family for decades. It helps the GOP somewhat that he selected Joe Biden as his running mate, another Democratic politician who hid out in college and law school during the Vietnam War, but now acts like a bad ass.

Biden’s just another career Washington insider with a lot to answer for regarding his relationships with lobbyists, not to mention taking credit for other people’s work.

Soft Jihad Hard Target

Family Security Matters

August 26, 2008
The Democrats’ ‘Soft’ Jihadist
Frank J. Gaffney

On Sunday, Democratic delegates convening in Denver were prayed over by representatives of various faiths. One stood out: Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America. With this choice, Barack Obama's campaign has committed a strategic error of the first order.

After all, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) has been identified by the Department of Justice not only as a front for the Muslim Brotherhood – a global Islamist movement with the stated mission in America of "destroying Western civilization from within." Worse yet, it has also been named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the United States' largest alleged terrorism financing conspiracy.

Like other Brotherhood operations, ISNA's purpose is to promote what might be called "soft Jihad" – the task of steadily insinuating the brutally repressive and subversive program the Islamists call Shariah through da'wa, proselytizing and social networking.

The more one learns about Dr. Mattson and her organization, the more questions will be raised about Barack Obama's judgment and that of his party in affording them a prominent role in the 2008 Democratic convention. For example:

Ingrid Mattson is director of the Macdonald Center for the Study of Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations at the Hartford Seminary in Connecticut. Her program is used to credential Muslim chaplains for U.S. prisons and our military. (The armed forces require its chaplain candidates to take 72 credit hours from Dr. Mattson's program.) This credentialing was previously performed by organizations founded by Abdurahman Alamoudi, once among the most prominent Muslim Brotherhood operatives in America. Today, Alamoudi is serving a 23-year prison sentence for his involvement in terrorism-related crimes.

A course taught by Mattson at the Hartford Seminary entitled "The Koran and Its Place in Muslim Life and Society" featured readings from texts by two of the Islamofascist ideology's most revered figures: Syed Abu A'la Mawdudi and Sayyid Qutb. She has publicly credited the former with producing "probably the best work of [Koranic commentary] in English." As Robert Spencer has observed in his invaluable Jihad Watch blog, Maududi succinctly described the Islamists' Shariah agenda as follows:

"Islam wishes to destroy all states and governments anywhere on the face of the earth which are opposed to the ideology and program of Islam regardless of the country or the nation which rules it. The purpose of Islam is to set up a state on the basis of its own ideology and program, regardless of which nation assumes the role of the standard bearer of Islam or the rule of which nation is undermined in the process of the establishment of an ideological Islamic State....Islam does not intend to confine this revolution to a single State or a few countries; the aim of Islam is to bring about a universal revolution."

As to Qutb, an amicus brief filed last week by the Center for Security Policy before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals noted that his "writings expand on [Maududi's] theme of Jihad against wayward Muslim regimes and the infidel West and the establishment of a hegemonic Shariah-based political order. His work has been credited as a central doctrinal source for al Qaeda's doctrine of Jihad, as well." According to the brief prepared for the Center by two of the West's foremost scholars of Shariah, attorneys David Yerushalmi and Stephen Coughlin (resident expert on the subject for the Joint Chiefs of Staff until he was purged by an ISNA admirer in the office of Deputy Secretary of Defense Gordon England), "Da'wa is used to prepare the battle space for violent Jihad."

Unbeknownst to most Americans, such Da'wa is being systematically advanced through the Islamists' take-over of the vast majority of U.S. mosques, Islamic centers and madrassas (Muslim parochial schools). This onslaught is being accomplished as Saudi money flows through another Muslim Brotherhood front spun off by ISNA, the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), which acquires the mortgages of existing religious facilities or creates new ones. Along with titles to these properties comes Saudi Wahhabi influence in the form of virulently Shariah-adherent clerics, textbooks and other materials. In her capacity as president of ISNA, Mattson also is an ex officio member of NAIT's board.

Insofar as the Muslim Brotherhood explicitly seeks and is working for the destruction of our government and Western civilization more generally, it is engaged in a criminal conspiracy that constitutes treasonous sedition. That reality has two critical implications:

First, the Brotherhood must be formally designated a terrorist organization, putting an end to the reckless notion – promoted by, among others, the U.S. State Department – that practitioners of soft jihad are less dangerous and an effective antidote to co-religionists who are prepared to use violence immediately, rather than later on.

Second, under 18 US Code 2382: " Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States and having knowledge of the commission of any treason against them, conceals and does not, as soon as may be, disclose and make known the same to [appropriate officials] is guilty of misprision of treason and shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than seven years, or both."

Sen. Obama, his party, Bush administration officials and, for that matter, ordinary citizens of the United States are obliged to take steps to counteract seditious Muslim Brotherhood activities in our midst. To do otherwise is not just suicidal. It is a crime.

Look into my eyes, what do you see?
Cult of personality
I know your anger, I know your dreams
Ive been everything you want to be
Im the cult of personality
Like mussolini and kennedy
Im the cult of personality
Cult of personality
Cult of personality

Neon lights, a nobel prize
The mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You dont have to follow me
Only you can set me free
I sell the things you need to be
Im the smiling face on your t.v.
Im the cult of personality
I exploit you still you love me

I tell you one and one makes three
Im the cult of personality
Like joseph stalin and gandi
Im the cult of personality
Cult of personality
Cult of personality

Neon lights a nobel prize
A leader speaks, that leader dies
You dont have to follow me
Only you can set you free

You gave me fortune
You gave me fame
You me power in your gods name
Im every person you need to be
Im the cult of personality
Look into my eyes, what do you see?
Cult of personality
I know your anger, I know your dreams
Ive been everything you want to be
Im the cult of personality
Like mussolini and kennedy
Im the cult of personality
Cult of personality
Cult of personality

Neon lights, a nobel prize
The mirror speaks, the reflection lies
You dont have to follow me
Only you can set me free
I sell the things you need to be
Im the smiling face on your t.v.

0bama-Biden Not Gonna Do Your Bidden

From GOPUSA

On Monday, while Democrats delivered vague speeches from a stage set that rivaled a rock concert, those outside the convention hall were left asking: Who is the real Barack Obama? The American Issues Project's new ad provides part of the answer.

The ad explores Obama's ties to William Ayers, whom the New York Sun describes as a "founding member of the group that bombed the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon during the 1970s."
In 2001, Ayers Did Not Express Regret For His Past Conduct And Even Claimed The Weather Underground "Didn't Do Enough" Bombings. "Mr. Ayers wrote a memoir, 'Fugitive Days,' published in 2001, and on the day of the September 11 terrorist attacks, he was quoted by the New York Times as saying: 'I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough.'" (Russell Berman, "Obama's Ties To Left Come Under Scrutiny," The New York Sun, 2/19/08)
"Obama's relationship with Ayers is an especially vivid milepost on his rise, in record time, from a local official who unabashedly reflected a very liberal district to the leader of national movement based largely on the claim that he can transcend ideological divides." (Ben Smith, "Obama Once Visited 60s Radicals," Politico, 2/22/08)
The fact that Barack Obama chose to launch his political career at the home of an unrepentant terrorist reflects not only a lack of judgment, but also real questions about his views. Obama's response to the ad? A full-throated defense of his long association with a man who says he didn't bomb enough U.S. targets. That tells us more about Barack Obama than any of the speeches we saw Monday night ever could.
To find out more facts about the Obama-Ayers relationship, just click here.

Also, in a AP news story running on GOPUSA, Ayers "compared U.S. government actions to the Sept. 11 attacks."

It is also becoming clear that the Obama-Biden ticket has even deeper ties to corrupt political powerbroker Tony Rezko.

On Monday, we learned that Joe Biden has a 30-year friendship with a key figure in the Tony Rezko trial. When Biden sought the Democratic nomination for president, he turned to his long-time financial contributor and adviser Joseph Cari, Jr. for help. Cari is now awaiting sentencing for his part in an $850,000 kickback scheme overseen by Tony Rezko.

Shortly Before Cari's Indictment Biden Called Him "An Honorable Guy."
"Shortly before Cari's corruption indictment by a federal grand jury in Chicago in 2006, Sen. Biden called him "an honorable guy" and was planning to appoint him to a high-ranking campaign position for the 2008 presidential campaign. However, the Illinois shakedown scheme...derailed Cari's future plans." (Chuck Goudie, "Unlocking Biden's Baggage Reveals Blago Ticket," Daily Herald [Chicago, IL], 8/25/08)

Biden "Won't Give Obama Much Cover On The Tony Rezko Front."
"No matter what help Barack Obama might get from Sen. Joseph Biden, his newly named vice presidential running mate won't give Obama much cover on the Tony Rezko front." (Dave McKinney, "Biden Has Deep Ties To Rezko Accomplice," The Chicago Sun-Times, 8/25/08)

As predicted, this week voters are getting a preview of the choice they will have to make in November ... and the "new politics" looks a lot more like politics as usual.

The choice is clear: BARACK OBAMA IS NOT READY TO LEAD. JOHN McCAIN IS.

John McCain stands for a government that is principled, honest, and worthy of the American people that it serves.
John McCain will get my vote in November. I hope he will get yours as well.

Veepstakes: If Barack Obama really were a "uniter," he wouldn't name the "scrappy kid from Scranton" as his running mate/attack dog. Ultra-liberal Sen. Joseph Biden's frequent smile belies the scalps on his belt.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Read More: Election 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The image of Joe Biden that Sen. Barack Obama's presidential campaign and the dominant establishment media want Americans to accept may be that of a tempered, likable working-class Irish Catholic you'd love to have a beer with. In fact, Biden is known for opposing — and at times destroying — the Republican presidents' nominees for top jobs.

During George H. W. Bush's administration, for instance, he helped squash fellow Sen. John Tower's nomination to be secretary of defense in 1989.
Two years before that, he helped destroy the nomination of current Secretary of Defense Robert Gates to be CIA director. As for the current Bush administration, in 2005 as ranking Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Biden spearheaded the smearing of Bush's nominee for ambassador to the U.N., John Bolton. Inviting witnesses who claimed Bolton had a nasty temper, Biden stopped his confirmation. The president ended up sending Bolton to the U.N. as a temporary recess appointment.

These aren't isolated instances: In 2001, Biden unsuccessfully tried to stop John Ashcroft from becoming attorney general, Gale Norton from becoming secretary of the interior and Theodore Olson from becoming solicitor general. But Biden's biggest kills have been judicial nominees. As National Review's Kathryn Jean Lopez pointed out last week, in 1991 then-Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Biden sucker-punched Clarence Thomas in his confirmation hearings by lying in private meetings prior to his testimony. "Instead of the softball question s he'd promised to ask, he threw a beanball straight at my head," Justice Thomas recalls in his memoir, "My Grandfather's Son." Biden took a quote from a speech Thomas gave out of context to give the impression that Thomas favored some kind of right-wing activism on the Supreme Court, rather than his philosophy of judicial restraint. "The point I'd been making was the opposite of the one that Senator Biden claimed I had made," Thomas noted. "Senator Biden's smooth, insincere promises that he would treat me fairly were nothing but talk." Biden, of course, failed to keep Clarence Thomas off the Supreme Court, even after turning the hearings into an X-rated circus by inviting Anita Hill to make groundless charges of sexual harassment.

But earlier, in 1987, it went Biden's way, when perhaps the greatest judge of our generation was sliced and diced on live TV by Biden and the other liberal Democrats of the Judiciary panel. Teddy Kennedy's words may be the ones best remembered: "Robert Bork's America is a land in which women would be forced into back-alley abortions" he falsely claimed, while "blacks would sit at segregated lunch counters." But it was chairman Biden who orchestrated the destruction of Ronald Reagan's nominee to the Supreme Court, adding a new word to our vocabulary — "borking." As millions of Americans watched, Biden launched into a discussion of Bork's opposition to the high court's 1965 Griswold case, declaring a Connecticut contraception ban unconstitutional. "It appears to me that you are saying that the government has as much right to control a married couple's decision about choosing to have a child or not, as that government has a right to control the public utility's right to pollute the air," Biden said, adding "that the economic gratification of a utility company is as worthy of as much protection as the sexual gratification of a married couple, because neither is mentioned in the Constitution." As Bork testified, it was only "the way Justice (William O.) Douglas . . . derived this right" that he was opposed to. But it didn't matter; millions of TV viewers now thought Bork wanted the police spying on married couples in their bedrooms. Then it was on to Biden's next line of questioning — "do you think that there is a basic right, under the Constitution, not to be forcibly sterilized by the state?"

Joe Biden, 35 years a senator, knows how to slip the knife through your ribs while flashing the biggest smile in Washington. Barack Obama is hoping John McCain will be his next victim.

Video of Mr. B. Hussein Obama Praising China

I said it Friday, I'll say it again:

AMERICA comes up SHORT?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!

WTF?!?!?!?!?!

"Just look at the money China has spent on infrasturcture, ports, roads" he says, while looking at the Olympics on TV.

It's almost HEAVEN.

That bastion of freedom, that defender of human rights, that workers paradise called China must be the mostest bestest place on Earth, if you watch the Olympics on TeeVee.

How did they manage all that?

Lets see. What are the major differences that set us apart from Nirvana?

China has:

NO enviro-wackos
NO building codes
NO pollution controls
NO OSHA
NO EPA
NO Bibles
NO FREEDOM

Well, MR B. HUSSEIN OBAMA, if those are all that America DOESN'T need to make the grade in your feeble mind, then by all means, lets get rid of them.

We can start with the enviro-wackjobs that control your side of the aisle and prevent us from becoming energy independent. After we make sure that's going to work, we'll discuss the other options.

Hero's funeral. Thank God for men like him.

MA2 Mike Monsoor was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously for jumping on a grenade in Iraq, giving his life to save his fellow SEALs.

During Mike Monsoor’s funeral in San Diego, as his coffin was being moved from the hearse to the grave site at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery, SEALs were lined up on both sides of the pallbearers route forming a column of two’s, with the coffin moving up the center.

As Mike’s coffin passed, each SEAL, having removed his gold Trident from his uniform, slapped it down embedding the Trident in the wooden coffin.

The slaps were audible from across the cemetery; by the time the coffin arrived grave side, it looked as though it had a gold inlay from all the Tridents pinned to it. This was a fitting send-off for a warrior hero.

Mainly because I hate being wrong.
I may be wrong about what I'm preparing to predict, but it's what I see.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is going to be the Democratic nominee for President if the convention really allows a floor vote from the delegates.

And I notice that the Eagle? has it's back to us.....And if this is supposed to be similar to a Presidential or National Seal, why are there ONLY olive branches.....

How does one negotiate when only promising peace? Oh, that's right....Surrender.

Um, shouldn't this be checked out?

Is 0bama a natural born U. S. citizen?

If there is enough doubt for a suit, shouldn't this be checked out BEFORE he becomes the nominee? Though, if it turns out that he's not, it should make the next few months VERY INTERESTING.....

Update from America's Right

and this is REALLY GOOD STUFF, folks:

Regardless of whether Barack Obama was born in a hospital in Honolulu or a hut in Kenya, the real question brought forth by Phillip Berg's civil action, to me, is not one of constitutional eligibility but rather of moral and intellectual and even ideological qualification.Barack Obama's actions show a penchant for blaming America first and placing Her needs second. His associations show that no unimaginably awful deed goes unrewarded, that the want for friendship, appeasement and superficial detente overshadows the need for a firm grasp on reality and unapologetic employment of common sense. His aspirations make us believe that we can live our lives blameless for societal and economic ills, and that centuries-old blood feuds can be solved with a handshake and conversation over coffee and a chilled plate of arugula.

John McCain, wrong on so many issues, was 100 percent right on Wednesday when he stated that he never questioned Obama's patriotism, only his judgment. At a time when the United States faces unprecedented threats from every angle, within and without, at a time when Congressional malfeasance--or, in the case of Pelosi's House and the energy crisis, nonfeasance--could have disastrous effects for decades to come, sound judgment is of the utmost importance.

For our founding fathers, unflinching patriotism, unassailable public virtue and unflappable judgment were inherent among those who helped to establish the United States of America, whether on the battlefield in Trenton or in Congress in Philadelphia, as those who were citizens "at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution" knew why they were there, what America was about, and why She was so desperately needed.

Regardless of whether he was born in Kenya or in Hawaii, regardless of whether his birth certificate is his half-sister's or his own, or whether he went by the name of Barack Obama or Barry Soetoro, this self-proclaimed "Citizen of the World" has much to learn about what it truly means to be an American.

Now Its Official

The Philadelphia Daily News has this on the lawsuit filed to stop the nomination of B.HUSSEIN Obamaoneandonlythemessiah.

Raining on Barack's parade
Barack Obama's presidential campaign has faced so many false rumors about his family history that it has put his birth certificate on the Internet: he was born in Honolulu, nearly two years after Hawaii became a state, making Obama a U.S. citizen by birth.
But that hasn't stopped Montgomery County lawyer Philip J. Berg from challenging Obama's qualifications to be president.
Berg, a Hillary Clinton supporter, announced he's filing a federal lawsuit today, claiming that Obama lost his citizenship when his mother relocated the family to Indonesia when Barack was a boy.
Under the law, however, moving to a foreign country does not negate an American's citizenship.
Berg said that he's acting on his own, not as an agent for the Clinton campaign. Republicans were prepared to file a similar lawsuit after the Democratic convention, he said.

Beware of Politicans Who Give You What You Ask For

You may be getting something else entirely.

From the DCExaminer Editorial Page:

Beware the capitulators. Republicans are chortling over the fact that their “drill, drill, drill” campaign seems to have forced Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi to backtrack and agree to relax the ban on offshore drilling.

Beware what is contained in the Trojan horse the Illinois senator and the congresswoman from San Francisco are offering as a peace token to the Republicans and to Americans who are appalled that the Congress continues to prevent the development of our oil resources, while crude oil and gasoline prices, although softening in recent weeks, remain high enough to contribute to the forces that are pulling the economy perilously close to recession.

Obama and Pelosi have no answer to a few simple questions: If they are now convinced that it is a good idea to develop our own resources of oil, why do they oppose a bill that would do that, and only that? Instead of making this now-agreed measure one ornament on a Christmas tree to subsidies, why not pass it on its own, and ASAP?

And if it is now good policy to give some states the power to approve drilling off their coasts, why not Pelosi’s California?

We know that she has acknowledged carrying the heavy burden of saving the planet -- dwellers on this planet who have not had the opportunity of voting for or against her might not be delighted with this news -- but as speaker of the House she surely also has the burden of preventing the steady flow of trillions of dollars to oil-producing countries that wish us ill.

But these are only the most obvious of the reasons to be suspicious of the Obama-Pelosi-Democratic climb down. More important is their insistence that any drilling be done in an environmentally sensitive manner. Now, that sounds reasonable enough. After all, who favors drilling in an environmentally insensitive manner? The problem comes when that generalization is put to the test of actual practice.

Those of us who have in the past been involved in proceedings to which environmental groups are parties know that their first goal is to have any project strangled at birth -- whether a drilling project, a new nuclear or coal plant, a wind farm, a transmission line.

To achieve that goal, they often do not need to prevail. All they have to do is delay, delay, delay, dragging out some hearings and appeals for decades, while costs rise and the sponsors lose interest.

There is not enough space here to review cases in which threats to a tiny fish (the snail darter) and the spotted owl provided ammunition for those opposing or seeking to delay a dam and logging in the Northwest, respectively.

More recently, of the 151 coal-fired power plants in the planning stages in 2007, 59 were either refused licenses or quietly abandoned in the face of opposition, and another 50 are being contested in the courts by environmental groups. And we have enough coal to power our electric plants for more years than anyone can count.

The goal of many greens was clearly stated by David Bookbinder, chief climate counsel of the Sierra Club. The Los Angeles Times reports that he said, “We hope to clog up the system,” using what the press characterizes as “any bureaucratic or legal means necessary.”

None of this is to say that environmental costs should be ignored when considering granting a go-ahead to various energy projects. But it is clear that there are few if any projects that will not bring the environmental lawyers into the nation’s hearing rooms and courts.

Environmentalists say they are enthusiastic about renewable energy. But “the greens are blocking the very transmission network needed for renewable electricity to move through the economy,” according to the Wall Street Journal.

The utilities willing to spend $1 billion to build the needed 240 miles of transmission line are projecting a completion date of 2014 at the earliest because of the length of permitting hearings and subsequent appeals.

And that’s for 240 miserable little miles of wire. Imagine how long it would take to get through the process of winning approval for drilling offshore.

The pity is not that environmental considerations are given weight -- they should be-- but that the process by which the balance between energy needs and environmental preservation is struck is tilted to favor those who know that delay can drive up costs and kill even the most environmentally sensitive projects.

Obama and DNC Sued To Stop Nomination

Americas Right is reporting that a Philedelphia lawyer with ties to Hillary has filed suit in Federal District Court in Philadelphia to stop the nomination.

A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee. The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.

Phillip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. According to Berg, he filed the suit--just days before the DNC is to hold its nominating convention in Denver--for the health of the Democratic Party.

Party of the Common Man?

Human Events Online
Obama Gets Failing Grade on Three E's: Energy, Education, and Eastern Europe

"Senator Obama has presented a variety of sound bites on many issues, but he has failed to provide any real solutions, or any hint of change," says David Freddoso, author of the new bestseller The Case Against Barack Obama.

Over the next few days, we will explore Senator Obama's position on three issues dominating today's headlines—energy, education, and Eastern Europe. Today we delve into his energy agenda.

Helping Americans by Raising Gas Prices?
High gas prices continue to punish American consumers and businesses. Yet Senator Obama's political track record clearly supports policies that would raise gas prices even higher, says author David Freddoso.

In his new bestseller, The Case Against Barack Obama, Freddoso points out that n0bama lamented in mid-June that high gasoline prices have hurt Americans. But n0bama supports carbon caps and carbon taxes—environmental controls that are designed to intentionally increase prices at the pump. The idea is to make gasoline more expensive so that people use less of it and emit less carbon. n0bama also eagerly embraces ethanol as a key solution to our energy crisis, adds Freddoso, but experts agree that ethanol will lead to much higher food prices, without providing real energy relief.

"Obama supports an environmental policy that requires higher gas prices over the long run," says Freddoso. "Until he drops his environmental program, Obama is only shedding crocodile tears when he talks about how high gas prices are hurting Americans. His real goal is $6 or $7 gasoline, as a matter of policy."

Americans need a leader who will offer real leadership and real solutions, not simply pay lip service to their concerns while pursuing policies that will hurt average Americans. For his energy policy, Barack Obama receives an "F."

A Gusher of Hypocrisy

From the NRCC Newsletter:

PELOSI AND THE DEMOCRATS PROMOTE SHAM ENERGY PROPOSAL

"While Nancy Pelosi is off on her cross-country tour trying to get her book moved off the New York Times' worst-seller list, voters are wondering why she and her fellow Democrats can't be bothered to address the issue of out of control fuel costs," said Ken Spain, a spokesman for the NRCC. (www.PolitickerCA.com)

Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat Majority are well into the third week of their paid five week vacation right now. And no, they aren't showing any signs of getting back to work before September to vote on an energy package that would increase the supply of American oil.

Meanwhile, the Associated Press reports that kids are about to head back to school where they'll be paying more for lunch, studying from old textbooks and walking further to the bus stop - assuming their bus schedule hasn't been cancelled altogether - thanks to higher fuel prices.

This past Sunday, Pelosi proposed a sham of an energy proposal during her weekly radio address. And it was nothing short of an insult to the American people. Madam Speaker, who hails from California, refuses to allow Congress to vote on - or even debate - legislation that would open the Golden State to offshore drilling. But listen to this - even George Skelton, a left-of-center columnist for the Los Angeles Times, advocates opening up California to more drilling.

He writes:"California is the nation's biggest consumer of gasoline - 45 million gallons a day, plus 10 million gallons of diesel. That makes us the third-biggest petroleum-consuming entity in the world, behind on the United States and China. ... So there's a gusher of hypocrisy here: The state that is the biggest consumer of gasoline in the nation - but produces less than 40% of what it uses - is opposed to drilling for more oil off its shores. We're slackers not pulling our weight."

The long and short of it is that our nation is being held hostage by one woman from San Francisco, Nancy Pelosi, who opposes drilling for American oil off the shores of California.

REPUBLICANS WINNING THE DEBATE ON ENERGY

The good news is that Republicans are winning the debate on energy. A recent Rasmussen Poll finds that 61% of Americans want Congress to get back to work immediately and lift the ban on offshore drilling. In terms of how they'll vote for Congress this year, 77% say offshore oil drilling is important.
And 67% of Americans recognize Republicans - not Democrats - are pushing the drilling issue.

OUR CANDIDATES' ADS

Our candidates across the country are doing a great job of getting out the message that we must increase the supply of American energy. This week, we're highlighting a fantastic new television ad by John Gard, who's running against Democrat incumbent Steve Kagen in Wisconsin-08.Republicans are on the right side of the energy debate. Meanwhile, a lot of vulnerable Democrats risk getting swept away by Speaker Pelosi's gusher of hypocrisy.

Democrats and Veterans

From GOPUSA by Scott Swett

Scott Swett is the primary author of a new book on the 2004 presidential campaign, To Set The Record Straight: How Swift Boat Veterans, POWs and the New Media Defeated John Kerry. He is also the primary webmaster of SwiftVets.com and WinterSoldier.com.

The Democrats recently announced the theme for the day that Sen. Barack Obama's running mate will speak at the Democratic National Convention in Denver -- "national security and honoring veterans." This may well provide a hint about who the vice-presidential selection will be, as it seems unlikely that such a theme would be used to frame a nominee who, like Sen. Obama, has no military experience.
Before speculating about the most likely candidate, let's take a few moments to review ways in which the Democratic Party has gone about "honoring" the US military in the past.

In November of 2000, during the statewide vote recount in Florida, Al Gore and the Democrats sent lawyers to every voting district in the state, armed with detailed instructions on how to disqualify military absentee ballots. Peggy Noonan reported that "...Democrats on the ground, and their operators from the Democratic National Committee and the state organization and the Gore campaign, deliberately and systematically scrutinized for challenge every military absentee ballot, and knocked out as many as they could on whatever technicality they could find or even invent."

Early in 2004, evidence emerged that a small group of Army prison guards had humiliated and abused captive insurgents at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq. The abuses were discovered by the Army itself, and those responsible were duly tried, convicted and sentenced. Nevertheless, leftists eager to discredit the US military seized upon these trivial events as though they constituted the most important story of the war. Sen. Edward Kennedy rose in the Senate to charge that "Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management -- US management." By June, the New York Times had featured Abu Ghraib stories on its front page more than 50 times, including a string of 28 days in a row. The purpose was evident -- to undermine support for the military and its mission by persuading the public that American troops were brutal abusers.

Leftist filmmaker Michael Moore was a welcome guest at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, where he sat in former President Jimmy Carter's box seat. Yet Moore had openly embraced those who ambushed and killed US troops, saying that "the Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not 'insurgents' or 'terrorists' or 'the enemy.' They are the revolution, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win." Ohio Democratic Representative Marcy Kaptur echoed this view, suggesting that "...Osama bin Laden and these non-nation-state fighters with religious purpose are very similar to those kinds of atypical revolutionaries that helped to cast off the British crown." This is a particularly novel way to support our troops -- by comparing their enemies to the patriots who fought for American independence.

In 2005, Illinois Senator Dick Durbin compared the treatment of terrorist suspects held at Guantanamo, Cuba to the crimes committed "by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others -- that had no concern for human beings." In fact, no prisoners had died at Guantanamo, whereas some fifteen to thirty million Soviets expired in the gulags, six million Jews were killed in Nazi concentration camps, and two million Cambodians were murdered by Pol Pot's communist Khmer Rouge. A Pentagon spokesman noted that all members of Congress were welcome to inspect the Guantanamo facilities -- something Sen. Durbin had never done. Public outrage eventually prompted Durbin to offer a qualified apology "...if anything I said cast a negative light on our fine men and women in the military."

In 2006, Democratic Congressman John Murtha falsely claimed that US Marines who had battled in Haditha, Iraq had "killed innocent civilians in cold blood." Marine Corps officials pointed out that Murtha had not yet been briefed on the event at the time he made his atrocity allegations. Charges against nearly all participants in the Haditha engagement have since been dismissed. The Marine staff sergeant who led the squad recently filed a federal defamation lawsuit against Murtha that has yet to come to trial.

Later the same year, New York Democrat Charles Rangel explained why young Americans join the military -- they aren't capable of doing anything else. Congressman Rangel said, incorrectly, that most members of the military "come from very, very high areas of unemployment" and denied that they "want to fight." Rangel further displayed his deep respect for US troops by adding that if a young man "...has an option of having a decent career or joining the army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq."

Sen. Tom Harkin recently suggested that Sen. John McCain's military background is a liability rather than an asset. "Everything is looked at from his life experiences, from always having been in the military," said Harkin, "and I think that can be pretty dangerous."

Presidential nominee Obama also took a few moments last year to honor the US military for its ongoing campaign in Afghanistan, by suggesting that it consisted primarily of "air-raiding villages and killing civilians...."

Who then is the Democrat best qualified to continue this tradition as Barack Obama's running mate? The choice is obvious: former nominee John Kerry. Kerry started his political career in 1971 by falsely accusing American troops of committing genocide in Vietnam. He accused his own Navy comrades of war crimes.

His Vietnam Veterans Against the War created the dysfunctional caricature of Vietnam veterans that Hollywood and the media embraced for three decades.
Perhaps more than anyone else, John Kerry is responsible for the way our Vietnam veterans were treated -- with contempt and pity, rather than respect.

After his unsuccessful attempt to market himself as a war hero in 2004, Kerry soon reverted to form, claiming that US troops were "going into homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children..." Kerry's own effort to compete in the 2008 cycle was derailed by his revealing suggestion to a college audience that "if you study hard and you do your homework... you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
So fire up the sound system. Launch the balloons. And let the honoring of America's veterans begin.

Blogging may be on hold for a while

On Monday, my daughter, the Squidette, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Therefore, blogging will probably be light.

I thank you in advance for your well wishes and prayers as I know that all of you are good people.

Take The Poll Tell 'Em What You Think

If Obama Was A Concrete Mix Design

I wouldn't build a dog run with it.

My job, (the one I actually get paid to do) is to determine if pre-established standards are being met and complied with. I do that by looking at empirical data, and judging the current conditions based on that data. We establish baselines through research and trials, testing and evaluating, using pre-established methods to insure the continuity of research and validation of results. Empirical data are historical results, established by years of use, that appear to meet the current requirements.

Obama has no pre-existing data. There is no empirical data to suggest he is qualified to meet and comply with the pre-established standards of the Presidency.

His trial runs so far have been miserable failures. He has changed, altered, obscured, and inveigled every attempt to determine if he is compliant. He has failed to comply with the established research procedures necessary to even set up a trial batch.

He is not qualified to run the country, based on existing data. Whether he is eligible is an entirely different matter, which may or may not be settled before 4 November 2008.

On 5 November 2008, we will wake to a new leader. Before that happens, you'd better make damn sure the one you wake up with, will meet, or exceed, the established standards for leadership.

Obama the Talking Parrot

or, How I learned new talking points to sound like T-Bone Pelosi in one hour.

It seems the handlers of 0bama have taught him some new tricks.

Now the annointed one sounds like the T-Bone Pelosi natural gas/wind turbine commercials that have been running since SanFranNan invested up to a 1/4 million dollars in T-Bones energy company. I wonder how much T-Bone asked the messiah to put up for that lesson in wind power and blow jobs.

Dhimmicrats don't want us energy independent. They want us dependent on them so they can maintain their power and run this country into the ground waiting for someone to invent impulse powered vehicles and wind-powered battery chargers.

Meanwhile, we keep paying terrorist countries for the oil we need to run this country's infrastructure, all the while the terrorists get rich and the dhimmini's relax in their condo's and summer homes, counting their investements.

Makes you want to take to the roof, doesn't it?
